They say good things come to those who wait. And, I've seen this book on Goodreads for what seems like forever now. I will admit it was worth the wait. But, be prepared you'll need a box of tissues when you read this. I was ten minutes in and already was into my first ugly cry of this book. 

It's taken me a week to write this review. I loved this book. But, I'm not sure how to write a review to do this story justice. I still am here and I'm going to wing it.

Blaire is a few weeks away from marrying the love of her life. Her and Ben have been together since college. They waited to get married. Now, it's just around the corner and they couldn't be happier. 

Until the ground is ripped out from beneath her. Now, Blaire doesn't know how to breathe. All she sees is black and gray. Blaire wants to be left alone. Wants just one more day to feel this way. Until Ryder comes into her life. He lets her know it's OK to breathe and see color a little at a time. 

That's all I can give you without spoiling the story for you. Because, the author's synopsis doesn't give anything away and neither am I. This was written beautifully. It was written in only Blaire POV and it was the right move. There was a few times I thought certain things dragged on but it didn't make me want to stop reading. Ben and Ryder were both fantastic guys. Don't worry this story doesn't surround cheating. You can breathe now lol. Both were there for Blaire when she needed it thru this story. It's a must read. I'm glad I read it. Micalea took her time writing it to make it perfect. And, she did just that. It was worth the wait.

What an incredible start to what's going to be an incredible series!! Ever since I read Davenport Harbor by Mayra Statham I been a fan of hers. Every book that I read of hers I fall a lil bit harder for Mayra. But, after finishing LIE I have fallen even harder for Mayra.

Marcus Wright AKA Mr.Right to the public. He's got the reporters and ex-girlfriend making him look horrible in the magazines and TV. Marcus is over it. Him and his best friend/brother/agent and partner are starting up their own production company. They're looking for the perfect first script to bring to the big screen. When Marcus's partner Donnie brings him a book his grandmother told him to read, he wasn't too sure. But, after reading the book from cover to cover in one sitting. Marcus would do anything to get the author to sign the right over to him.

Grace Rivera has been writing and publishing her books since Lexi, her daughter was born. She loves writing. The day she opened her front door to Marcus her life changed. At first Grace thought her sisters sent him there. After a hysterical first meeting, life was never the same. Grace knows who Marcus is. She's read and seen all about him. He also played a super hero and her daughter loves super heroes. So, yea Grace knows all about him.

Grace is absolutely perfect. She's an excellent mother and sister. Grace, her sisters and Lexi are a team. They have been since forever. Grace always puts them first. She's raised an incredible little girl. Who legit stole the book for me lol. Grace falls for Marcus inst-quick. But, she refuses to tell him her feelings. She's not stupid. Grace knows all about his playboy ways. She won't be another fling. But, it's hard bc he says all the right things. It's one of the many reasons I loved her. She kept her eyes and ears open and never backed down. Grace handled everything so so much better then I would've. 

Marcus. Oh Marcus. He looks like such a major jerk in the public eye. But, when you get in his head and heart, you'll see he's not and he's so much more. Marcus loves his family. He never realized he wanted a life with a steady girlfriend or children. But, the minute Grace opened her door his eyes and heart opened. Then, he met Lexi and his life was complete. He didn't care who knew it. The only person who could and would ruin it the first chance he got was his older brother. 

This is Mayra's best book to date. Grace and Marcus are both incredible people. But, when they get together they're incredible people who are now happy. They deserve it too. Their lives haven't been easy. But, they made it work and they survived it. They were happy. But, they were missing something. Mayra gave us an incredible story about a couple. But, she gave us a bunch of incredible people. Marcus has his 3 brothers. Grace has her 2 sisters. And, they are all different, crazy, funny, angry, scary and awesome. Let's just say Mayra needs to do nothing but write write and write. Because, I need these books!!
