✯Release Review✯The Wrong Prince Charming by Holly Renee

Release Date: July 15, 2019

Cover Design: Artist Regina Wamba

Photography: Perrywinkle Photography

Synopsis

Every little girl dreams of being swept off her feet by a charming Prince.

But my life was no fairy tale.

And in this kingdom called college, the rules went out the window.

I’d known golden boy, Theo Hunt, was the one for me since we were kids. My heart was his for the taking, but I had become nothing more than the MVP of the campus king’s friend-zone.

Easton Cole was a storm I couldn’t have predicted. He knocked me off my feet and stole my heart. But he was off limits. Not only was he was Theo’s frat brother, but he was the teacher’s assistant in English 101 and I was acing every test.

My heart was torn, my feelings tangled.

Because as soon as I noticed Easton, Theo finally noticed me.

I was in love with two guys, as different as night and day, but I could only have one.

I only hoped I didn’t choose The Wrong Prince Charming.

✯✯5 Double Edged Stars!!!✯✯

I’m bowing down to Holly Renee with her latest release. I was hooked from the blurb and mad when I finished bc I didn’t want it to end.

Maddy is starting college. She had her own plan on where she wanted to go and what she wanted to major in. Except her parents let her know she’ll be cut off if that’s what she wants.

There’s only one bright spot about her going to this college. Her best friend Theo. Theo definitely friend zoned her and she hates it bc she’s in love with him. They tell each other everything. He’s there to support her when her parents get on her and Maddy is there for him when his dad drinks. As long as she has Theo she knows she can deal with anything.

The first night Maddy sleeps over at Theo’s since he lives in the frat house. When Maddy runs into a brick wall AKA Easton, Theo’s frat brother everything changed. She instantly felt things she’s never felt in all the years she’s loved Theo. Maddy knew Easton was trouble, she just wasn’t prepared for how much.

When Maddy learns she has to partner up with the TA for her class she can’t see, think or breathe. Easton. Figures. The one guy who makes her feel things she’s never felt before and he’s Theo’s frat brother and her TA. Talk about a double edged sword and that totally makes him off limits.

Too bad the more time she spends with Easton the more blurred the lines are getting between them. Plus she feels she can’t Theo her feelings for Easton. Easton and Maddy have sparks, electricity and amazing chemistry that gets stronger whenever they’re together. Except they can’t cross that line or Easton could loose everything. And, Maddy knows she’d loose both Theo and Easton and she can’t think of a life without them.

Omg I love this book!!! I wasn’t a huge fan of Theo ESP at the end.  I just didn’t like how he didn’t want Maddy and yet he didn’t want anybody else to want her. Easton I was in love with from the instant she ran into him. He was such a great guy. Easton really loved Maddy. If he didn’t have so much to loose school wise he definitely would’ve let everybody know she was his.

I can’t wait for the next book Holly Renee releases. I’m gonna need her to hurry up with her writing lol.

About DATING ROULETTE

Bexley  Seven Dates. Seven chances to win my heart. It’s not hard – Don’t put ketchup on your eggs. Don’t wear tasseled loafers. For the love of all that’s Holy, don’t ogle the waitress. See? Simple… Yet no one can get it right.
Tristan Dating Roulette. It’s Bexley’s game. Correction – it’s her life. A constant rotation of dates. You might get one; you might get seven. No one has ever gotten to eight. There’s only one rule – Don’t commit a dating sin. I’ve watched for years and bided my time. Now, it’s my turn to play.

✯✯5 Amazing Stars!!!✯✯

D. Kelly keeps blowing me away with every new release she has. Dating Roulette is definitely on my favorite read list.

Bexley made Tristan her friend in their sophomore year in high school. It was the best decision she’s ever made. They went to college together and after they graduated they moved in together. He’s the one constant thing in her life.

Bexley’s never had a real relationship before. She has a seven date rule. If a guy shows up and they do one of her no-no’s then that’s it, she cuts them loose. No questions asked. No second chances.

The only guy that’s lasted is Tristan. He might laugh at her quirkiness and has dubbed her rules as dating roulette. But, they know each other inside and out. One night Bexley kisses Tristan and everything changed. Bexley knows Tristan couldn’t feel for her what she feels for him.

The best thing that’s ever happened to Tristan  was Bexley telling him they should be friends. Bex doesn’t realize she saved Tristan’s life that day more ways than she could ever imagine.

Tristan has always cared for Bexley but has stayed on the sidelines watching her go on date after date and watching her throw guy after guy away bc he broke one of her rules.

Tristan was tired of watching from the sidelines. Tristen finally got the courage to proposition Bex. The next she dates he wants it to be him with 2 rules of his own. Bex must go through with the seven dates, no exceptions and after every date she must write down the pros and cons of the date. Tristan just hopes he doesn’t loose his best friend when they finish their seven dates.

These two were absolutely perfect for each other. Bex ended up asking him for the boyfriend experience. Bex then turned it around bc she’s seen him do everything for his ex’s and she went all out to show him how much she cares for him.

Both of them were in love with each other before Tristan even picked Bex up for their first date they were just blind to what was in front of them. Things weren’t completely smooth and full of sunshine and butterflies. When they say looks can be deceiving and don’t judge a book by its cover. Luckily Bex and Tristan know each other so well and they have amazing best friends in their corner.

I read this book in a few hours. I legit devoured it bc it was THAT good!!! I was smiling so hard I was cheesing. I have read 57 books so far this year and Tristan has made it to my #1 book boyfriend spot for this year and I’m not seeing him leaving it.

D. Kelly usually has me ugly crying reading her books but not this time. Again, she had me cheesing smiling. I can’t wait for her next release.

Read an excerpt from DATING ROULETTE

She pulls her feet away, tucking them beneath her, and props an arm on the back of the couch. After brushing a wayward curl from my forehead, she meets my eyes again. “What is going on in your head tonight? Talk to me, Tris.” “I’m trying.” “Start with telling me why you made me promise not to date without talking to you first.” Reaching forward, I caress her cheek, and she leans into my touch. “Date me next.” I use the tone she calls the commanding one, and her eyes dilate. Fuck . . . it really does turn her on. How did I never notice that? “Tristan, that’s a really bad idea.” “Why?” “Why? For starters, you’re my best friend.” “Exactly.” My fingers weave through her hair, and she moves closer to me. “If it doesn’t work, we’ll be fine, I promise. I won’t let this get in the way of our friendship.” “You say that now but—” I bring my finger to her lips to silence her. “No buts; we’ve been through so much already. We can handle seven dates.” “You’re assuming you’ll make it to the seventh date.” As I smile, she gasps. “That’s why you made me promise.” I’m about to lay all my cards on the table. “Yes. Bexley, I want my chance to win your heart.” Her eyes close for a long moment, but my hand is still at the base of her neck, my fingers entwined in her curls. “I’m scared, Tris. What if you do something that’s a deal breaker?” “That’s always a possibility, but if I do it in the first six dates, you have to let it go. If I do it on the seventh, well, that’s a risk I’m willing to take, I suppose. Either way, nothing is going to come between us. Nothing.” The air snaps between us. This has become a defining moment in our relationship, but it’s one I think, deep down, we both knew was inevitable. “Would tonight count as our first date?” She still hasn’t opened her eyes. “That depends. Do you kiss on your first dates?” Her eyes finally snap open, and I’m met with a lust-filled gaze. Damn, I’ve never seen this look on her, but now I don’t ever want to see her without it. “Sometimes, I do.” “Well, if you want a kiss good night, then we can count this as our first date. Otherwise, tomorrow can be our first date.” The rise and fall of her chest becomes noticeable as her breathing increases. She squirms, and I realize she’s turned on. Part of me wants her to say no, this isn’t our first date, because I’d love for it to be special to her. But another part of me wants to take her mouth with mine and kiss her until morning. “Are you a good kisser?” she whispers, inching even closer to me. Bexley watches intently as I lick my lips ever so slightly, moistening what I want to give her. “I’ve never had any complaints, but there’s always a first time for everything.” I cup the back of her neck and pull her closer to me—so close, she’s only a whisper from my lips. “It’s your call. What do you want to do?” She moves forward and presses her lips tentatively against mine. In the course of every relationship, there is a make-or-break moment, and this one is ours—I feel it to my core as her apricot scent envelops me. I’m a lost cause. “First date it is,” I whisper against them before wrapping my free arm around her waist and pulling her even closer.
