I should know, they destroyed mine.
I’m Hannah and I got hooked on ice. What started as a trickle, ended with a tsunami washing everything away; my family, my life.
I’m not sure you’re ready to read my story; it’s real and confronting.
Open the book, read the pages and see how easy it is for anyone to get addicted.
Ice affects all types of people. It doesn’t discriminate.
It will SCREW. YOU. UP.

*Dark YA/NA story- Recommended for 16+. Strong drug abuse, physical abuse, emotional abuse and emotional conditioning. Contains distressing content. It will cause you anger, frustration and you'll want to hurt some characters.

                                         ✯✯5 Addicting Stars!!! ✯✯

Holy crap!!! Margaret writes her books that can be about something you went thru or somebody you know went thru it. Her stories gut me.  But, this one OMG I wanted to throw my kindle multiple times.

This is Hannah’s story. Hannah’s a 17 yr old with great parents, she’s doing great in school. She’s just looking forward to graduation and going to college.

One night she goes to her friends parents anniversary party. She meets her friends cousin and they hit it off. Hannah agrees to go on a date with him. While on their date Hannah meets Edgar and she gets a feeling she didn’t get with her date.

Edgar starts showing up at Hannah’s house and school.  He’s older then her and a demanding person. Hannah tries to fight him but she just can’t she agrees to go on a date. On that date he slips something to Hannah without her knowing and her life completely spirals from there.

Hannah gets hooked on drugs. She has alienated herself from her parents and friends. She’s doing things that she’s not fully aware that she’s doing. Edgar is so good at manipulating her to get her to do what he wants. She thinks he loves her and that’s why he wants things done certain ways and she does it.

The drugs have messed her so up that she’s hallucinating and things that never happened are playing in her head. She went from sweet to just a nasty person. Bc, she was listening to the drugs. It was both extremely sad and utterly had me pissed off.

This is a good that I want my 16 yr old niece to read bc this could easily happen to her. I know whenever Margaret releases a new book I’m in for an emotional ride and Hannah’s story was no different. You can tell Margaret does her homework before she writes a book. Bc, man she hit Hannah on the head with everything! And, as much as I hated Edgar. There are people like him in the world and that’s scary to think about. This is a must read story but be prepared.

NEW YORK TIMES BEST SELLER OF UGLY AND MISTRUST

**Write something worth reading**

I'm Margaret and I'm a self-published author.

Recently I was fortunate in obtaining New York Times best selling status on my YA/NA book - Ugly, and my YA book - Mistrust.

My last three books have been YA and I'm completely in love with the genre. I love being able to communicate with people through my words and stories.

My writing genres all differ, but the one thing I keep consistent is my heroines. All my female lead characters are strong, gutsy and not the 'perfect' woman. While my books all have romantic elements in them, they aren't just about the romance. They're about finding strength, acceptance and making life long connections.

I hope you enjoy my stories as much as I have while writing them.

✯✯5 Maddock Size Stars!!!✯✯

This is my first book by Kathleen Kelly and not my last. I’ve had her on my TBR and just haven’t gotten around to them and can legit kick my own ass for not reading them yet.

Maddock has a good job and a great family. There’s five brothers and a sister who’re totally different yet still very close. Ever hear of being too good at your job? Yup, being too good at his job cost Maddock everything. His life and his family.

It’s been three years since that horrible morning. Maddock AKA Eric is living in a small town. He’s the town mechanic and he’s barely living. He doesn’t have friends, no girlfriend, no contact with his family. He spends his days going to work and coming home.

When a grouchy customer gets under his skin he puts himself out there. With the customer in the hospital Eric brings the car he wants rebuilt for his granddaughter back to the customers farm and works on the car and takes care of his animals until he gets out of the hospital. He can tell the car means a lot to the guy, so he’ll do whatever he can to get it fixed. It keeps his mind busy and off of his siblings. Until the guys granddaughter comes around and Eric’s knocked off his game. He’s stayed low for years. But, one interaction with Cherie and he realizes she just might ruin him.

The only guy that’s ever been there for Cherie has been her granddaddy. He’s the only reason why she’s comeback to this small town where she grew up at. Cherie heads to her grab daddy’s place and runs into the finest, sexiest guy she’s ever seen in her entire life. Against her better judgement she asks him out as a thank you for helping her granddaddy.

They start to spend time together and even though Cherie can tell Eric is hiding things from her, he treats her better than everybody ever has with the exception of her granddaddy.

When somebody tries to kidnap her and takes Eric she knows somethings up. Then, she meets his brothers and learns things that should have her running far away. Instead it has her going with them to get Eric or should she say Maddock.

Cherie didn’t have an easy life with her parents and the town folks. She doesn’t let them bring her down. She’s a strong woman. Cherie is the perfect woman for Eric/Maddock.

Eric/Maddock never wanted any of this to happen. Trying to do the right thing ended up hurting and gutting not only him but his family. He never wanted to find love. But, Cherie walked into his life and knocked him off his feet.  Cherie’s going to be the one that makes him want to fight back to get his life back. When he’s got his brothers backing him up and Cherie next to him, he’s ready to fight for his life back.

I opened this book. Sat outside under the tree and couldn’t put it down. I was addicted. The storyline, the main characters and the MacKenny brothers had me reading page after page. And, that ending!!! I need the next book NOW Kathleen.

Man, I’m glad I read this and didn’t add to my TBR list. Kathleen gave us a book with an amazing storyline, characters, side characters. It had everything I look for in a great book. I ESP loved how these brothers even though they are different. They believe in their family bond and it means everything to them. It was my favorite part of the storyline.

Robyn Corcoran - “Wow! What an exciting start to this new book by this author.”

Tara Copsy - “Congratulations Kathleen Kelly, you've written another fabulous story that had me from the start.”

✯Release Review✯Penance(The Chicago Defiance MC Series #2) by KE Osborn

Title: Penance
Series: The Chicago Defiance MC Series Book 2
Author: K E Osborn
Genre: MC Romance
Release Date: July 26

I'm not sure how it happened.
The way the cord of life can splinter and snap without warning.

My family—in hiding from the Japanese Yakuza.
My club—at war with the very organization my family is hiding from.

Though, amidst the chaos, there is one shining light.
A Spanner in the works.
A woman who’s not only the complete opposite of me, and everything I stand for, but a woman who my parents should frown upon.
She’s brash, where I am guarded. We shouldn't work.

This story isn't about a dynasty reuniting and mending old wounds—it's betrayal, deception, conflict and turmoil.

Bloodshed—it's coming.

Who will pay the ultimate penance?

✯✯5 Loyal Stars!!!✯✯

KE Osborn is becoming an instant one-click for me. Every book I open of hers I devour. I loved Resistance about Torque the Prez of The Chicago Defiance MC  and his girl Heeley. I would totally 110% read that first. Penance might be about Raiden and Ayla but it’s a straight continuation of Resistance.

The Ishikawa Yakuza have come into Chicago and they’re bullying their way to buying up all the businesses and running the MC and the Italian Mafia out. Which is why the MC and the Italians have put their differences aside and work together against the Yakuza.

But, then something nobody saw coming happened.

Raiden AKA Sensei is the enforcer of the MC. He was brought up strict. He doesn’t fly off the handle.  Sensei is careful with his breathing, his movements and with his actions. His dad raised him to do right by the people he cares about. Sensei also learned when he was younger his father isn’t his biological father.  His real father is the leader of The Ishikawa Yakuza. He tortured and beaten his mother within inches of her life. His mom and dad fake their deaths and came to America and have been in Chicago since. Sensei wants to kill his blood father. His stepfather is his father.

Sensei’s not sure if his bio-dad knows who he is. He moves his parents and two younger sisters into the clubhouse to keep them safe. Sensei needs to keep his head on straight.  Get all information on the Yakuza and get rid of them once and for all.

When a brothers bike needs fixing he calls Smoking Joe. Unfortunately, he’s sick but he tells him he’s sending Spanner. Insists Spanner is the best next to him. Sensei wasn’t expecting Spanner to be a she and not afraid to tell him where to go.

Ayla AKA Spanner has worked at her dads shop as a mechanic since before she could walk. It’s just her dad, two brothers and her. Spanner’s the only women working at the shop but she knows how to hold her own against the guys thinking different. Her dads always dealt with the MC. But, with him falling ill he hands her the account.

She knew the minute she saw Sensei that he was special. He makes her feel things she hasn’t felt in awhile. Spanner is a tomboy and is quick to put people in their places the minute they need to be put there.

Things with her and Sensei are different. They both know the other has a lot on their plates. A friendship starts between them. There are things Spanner isn’t privy to bc she’s not an Old Lady and she respects the MCs laws and that is a huge turn on for Sensei. Even though Sensei is working to get rid of the Yakuza when things come up that effect Spanner he realizes he needs to keep her safe as well.

Holy crap!!! I forgot all about time once I started this book. You learn how and why Sensei’s so cool, calm and collected all the time. He might be a 100% biker through and through. But, he’s also a brother, son, friend and dangerous all the same. Ayla was feisty, witty, badass, quick thinker and she’s completely loyal to her father and brothers. She’s an amazing woman and she’s perfect for Sensei. They’re the perfect match for each other. They bring out the best of each other while calming the side that’s ready to fight. I loved this book and can’t wait for the next MC brother.
