✯Release Review✯Ford's Fate (Paranormals of Avynwood #2) by Michelle Dare

Title: Ford’s Fate
Author: Michelle Dare
Genre: YA Paranormal Romance
Photographer: Eric McKinney
Publication Date: May 24th, 2019
Blurb:
As a young vampire, Ford had experienced more than those much older than him. The love of his life left him. He fell for his best friend. People he considered friends were killed. Blood was on his hands.
Through it all, he never forgot his first love. The one who stole his heart then shattered it when he least expected.
When Sienna left Ford and mated with another, she thought she’d found her companion for eternity. Except, her life didn’t play out that way. Her mate was killed, leaving Sienna a shell of the shifter she once was.
Ford wanted Sienna back, but the choice had to be hers. Then her life was in danger, and his plans changed in an instant. All that mattered was keeping her safe.
Reaching a crossroad, they were helpless to fate’s plan. Ford was left standing before Sienna, wearing his heart on his sleeve, waiting to see what she’d do next.

✯✯5 Ford Filled Stars!!!✯✯

I’ve been dying for Ford’s story since the beginning of The Ariane Trilogy. I’d been hoping Michelle would continue writing the Paranormals in this world. I was stoked when my wish came true.

Ford has found his one true love years ago. But, she’s a fox and her family definitely didn’t approve of their relationship and she was forced to leave Ford and marry her true fox mate. When Ari, Orion were in the pack war Ford’s love, Sienna was used against them to break Ford. Sienna’s husband was killed in front of them. Ford can feel her pain. He wants to be there for her but Sienna just pushes Ford away.

The feelings Sienna had for Ford were real. But, she couldn’t go against her parents wishes. She ended up breaking Ford’s heart into pieces and she ended up loosing half of hers in the process.

Sienna loved her mate Eli very much. When he was killed in front of her it broke her. Sienna wasn’t sure what she did to loose him and Ford. Sienna can sense whenever Ford’s near. She knows he comes to her house every night checking on her. But, Sienna can’t give Ford what she wants so she writes him a letter telling him to leave her alone.

Ford tried giving Sienna what she asked for. But, it’s not easy. When he feels she’s in pain he rushes to her and sees she’s been attacked. When Ford refuses to leave her side Sienna looks to somebody she never thought. One of the few people who hate her. Ford’s brother Solomon.

He takes Sienna someplace Ford doesn’t know about and promises to keep her safe. Ford starts to unravel and he’s a shell of the Ford we’ve seen and fallen for in the previous four books. When Sienna finally finds out what’s behind Solomon’s mood change she demand he bring her to Ford.

Once Sienna and Ford are reunited their entire relationship changes. Sienna realizes its OK to move on and fall in love again after Eli and that she’ll always love him. Ford will do anything to make Sienna happy. They both still have to deal with Ford’s parents and her mother. Plus, there’s still somebody after Sienna.

Once I started this I couldn’t put it down. I’d already loved Ford. But now that I’ve gotten in his mind and really gotten to know how he thinks I’m even more obsessed than before if that’s even possible. Sienna really is the perfect female for him.

I’m even more ready for Solomon’s book now. BC between Sol and his parents totally had me hysterical laughing. Whoever Sol brings home be careful their mom can be scary lol.  But first is Kylest’s story and after his massive bombs dropped I’m dying for it. Hurry up Michelle!!!

✯Release Review✯Written with Regret (The Regret Duet #1) by Aly Martinez

WWR - BT banner.jpg

Written With Regret, the first in an all-new emotional duet from USA Today bestselling author Aly Martinez, is available now!

WW Regret FOR WEB
Every little girl dreams of the fairytale. The one where the white knight rushes in to save her from the clutches of evil. They fall in love, have babies, and live happily ever after.
By that definition, my life should have been a fairytale too.
When I was eight years old, Caven Hunt saved me from the worst kind of evil to walk the Earth. It didn’t matter that I was a kid. I fell in love with him all the same.
But that was where my fairytale ended.
Years later, a one-night stand during the darkest time imaginable gave us a little girl. It was nothing compared to the pitch black that consumed me when I was forced to leave her with Caven for good.
At the end of every fairytale, the happily-ever-after is the one thing that remains consistent. It wasn’t going to be mine, but there hadn’t been a night that passed where I hadn’t prayed that it would be hers.
I owed Caven my life.
However, I owed that innocent child more.
And that included ripping the heart from my chest and facing her father again.

✯✯5 Jaw Dropping Stars!!!✯✯

Aly Martinez is back ladies!! I feel like I haven’t had a book from her in forever. This is the first part of Caven, Hadley and Rosie’s story and man it was packed. I can’t imagine after it ended like this what’s about to happen.

The night Caven and his best friend sell their business and become billionaires there’s a knock on his door. He wasn’t expecting to answer the door to find a beautiful newborn baby girl with a note attached asking him to take care of their daughter. When that beautiful redhead left in the middle of the night and stealing his belongings he never thought he hear from her again.

It’s been four years since he became a father to Rosie. He loves his daughter and wouldn’t change anything. She’s the light of his life. But, on her birthday everything changed again. Her mother showed up out of being gone from the day she was born. She says she wants to get to know their daughter and she’ll play by whatever rules he puts in front of her.

Caven knows he shouldn’t trust Hadley but there’s just something about her. He’s got this urge to protect her, to include her more and more in Rosie’s life. But, Caven’s not sure exactly what Hadley’s full story is and he’s afraid it might break him.

Hadley fell in love with Caven when she was a young girl before she knew what love was. She knew the best thing she could ever do for her daughter was leaving her with Caven until she was truly able to be a mom.

Now that she’s able to be a good mom Caven will do anything to make things hard for her to do that. Hadley  agrees to supervised visits and teach Rosie art. She’ll do anything Caven wants.

Caven and Hadley’s  chemistry is instant and there for anybody looking at them to see. Hadley is hoping she’ll get her family back. But, she is keeping something from Caven and she knows she must tell him sooner than later. Hadley just can’t find the right time, place and way to do it. And, now it’s too late.

This story is so good that once I started it I forgot about everything else. Rosie’s such an amazing little girl I found myself smiling and laughing with everything she’d do. She’s the brightest part of this story.

The way Caven and Hadley met was horrible. The worst of the worst. Even young they had this connection, this protectiveness over each other. The last few paragraphs I held my breathe in. Just when I thought I knew what was happening BOOM Aly pulled the rug out from below me and I fell on my butt saying “WTF JUST HAPPENED” and I’m left waiting for the next part to come.

Excerpt:

Life had never been easy for me. Chaos had been following me like a dark cloud, looming and hovering, casting its shadow far and wide despite how bright the path in front of me should have appeared. After growing up the way I had, where happiness had been more of a privilege than a choice, I knew better than to believe that that moment would be anything other than fleeting.
And one second later, the universe proved me right.
I opened the door to see who had rung the bell—a cursory check revealed an empty hallway.
And that’s when I heard it: the sound that changed not only my entire life in the present, but my life for all future days to come.
At first, it was just a grunt, but as if that baby could feel my gaze, the minute my eyes made contact, it let out a sharp cry.
Confusion hit me like a lightning bolt, sending me back a step. I used the door frame for balance as I took in the yellow blanket with a hole only big enough to reveal a pale-pink face.
“What the fuck?” I breathed. Glancing around the hall, I waited for someone to jump out and start laughing. When no one spoke up to issue a punchline, I took a step closer and repeated, “What the fuck?”
I was utterly unable to process the absurdity in front of me.
Of course, I knew the facts.
It was a baby.
On my doorstep.
Alone.
But the why in that equation was glaringly absent.
“Uhhh,” Ian drawled, peering over my shoulder. “Why is there a kid at your door?”
“I have no idea,” I replied, staring down at the squirming and now-screaming bundle. “It was just there when I opened the door.”
Ian shoved me to the side so he could stand beside me. “You’re shitting me, right?”
“Does it look like I’m shitting you?”
He looked from me to the baby, then back again. “How did it get there?”
We were two incredibly smart men who had created a technology empire out of nothing. But, clearly, a baby was too big for either of us to wrap our minds around.
I swept an arm out and pointed to the kid. “I have no clue, but I’m assuming it didn’t catch a cab.”
A light of understanding hit his eyes. He moved first, stepping over the crying baby and hurrying down the hall, searching around the corner near the elevator before returning alone.
The party continued behind me, but even with the door open, the loud chatter was no match for the ear-piecing cries happening in that hallway.
Veronica suddenly appeared beside me, her body going solid as she stammered out. “Is that…a baby?”
“Back up,” I urged, throwing my arm out to block her path as though the infant were going to suddenly morph into a rabid animal. And let’s be honest, I knew nothing about babies. Anything was possible.
Ian dropped to his knees, scooping up the wailing child. Meanwhile, I stood there like a gawking idiot, paralyzed by a weight I didn’t yet understand.
“Call the pol—” He stopped abruptly and reached into the top of the child’s blanket. “Oh shit,” he whispered, his wide, panic-filled eyes flashing to mine.
“What?” I asked, stepping toward him to get a better look at the kid. Only it wasn’t that tiny baby cradled in his arms that made my heart stop and bile rise in my throat.
There, in my best friend’s hand, was a folded piece of notebook paper that had been tucked into the child’s blanket. From the looks of it, the paper was unremarkable in every sense of the word. Blue lines, white spaces, hanging remnants from where it had been haphazardly ripped from a spiral bound notebook. Even the crease was crooked. But it was my name scrawled on the outside in messy, black ink that made it the most remarkable paper in existence.
I snatched it from his hand and, with blood roaring in my ears, opened it.
Caven,
I’m sorry. I never meant for this to happen. This is our daughter Keira. I’ll love her forever.  Take care of her the way I can’t.
Written with regret,
Hadley
The hall began to spin, my head feeling like every ounce of blood had been drained from my body. The thundering in my ears faded and the loud chatter of my guests, who were suddenly aware that something was happening at the door, roared to life.
And then the chaos finally found me all over again—the past playing out in my head like my life flashing before my eyes.
I sucked in a deep breath and looked at the baby in his arms. The blanket had fallen off its head just enough to reveal a patch of fine hairs, more orange than its mother’s red.
“Call the police,” I declared, turning on a toe and walking back into my apartment, leaving Ian standing in the hall with Hadley’s child.
Shoving through the crowd of concerned onlookers, I headed straight to the bottles of liquor lining the counter. I didn’t bother with ice or even a glass. I threw back that bottle of vodka, hoping like hell the burn of the alcohol could numb the panic coursing through my veins.
Through it all, that baby never stopped crying.

Author: Kate L Mary
Genre: Post-Apocalyptic Futuristic Steampunk
Publisher: Twisted Press
Editor: Lori Whitwam
Publication Date: May 16th, 2019
Hosted by: Lady Amber’s PR
Blurb:
From an award-winning author and master of world building comes the thrilling third book in the Moonchild series, featuring a future fueled by greed and corruption, where airships rule the skies and coal mines have been turned into prisons…
Nearly a year after Asher Kimura swooped into Athens and saved Scarlett and her friends, the group has settled into a routine that almost feels like a real life. But when an altercation on the street turns deadly, they’re forced to head out west to lay low until things have settled down.
After a lifetime in the polluted world the Luddites have created, Scarlett is looking forward to seeing the sun in all its splendor for the very first time. Too bad the heat, dust, and utter lawlessness of the west leave a lot to be desired. But she’s determined to enjoy both her time with Asher and the break from the constant threat of living in Columbus.
It doesn’t take long for the group to realize that corruption knows no borders. Drugs, slavery, and forced prostitution are only the tip of the iceberg when Asher comes face to face with the demons from his past, leaving Scarlett to wonder if he’ll make it out in one piece.
With new characters and a fresh setting, the past meets the future in the exciting third book in the Moonchild series. Readers rave about the “captivating setting, riveting plot, and heart-pounding action” in the Moonchild series, calling it a “much needed breath of fresh air in the world of YA fantasy.”

✯✯5 Redeeming Stars!!!✯✯

This is the third book in Kate L. Mary’s Moonchild Series and it was just as action packed and nonstop action as the first two. We learn so much more about Asher in this book and meet even more people that we had previously.

It’s been a year since Asher rescued Scarlett and her friends in Athens and they’ve been living in Columbus. Scarlett has given into her feeling for Asher, her and Paget have squashed their beef and are slowly becoming friends, Rory’s about to become a mom and Scarlett finally considers Columbus home. Which shocks her as much as it does everyone else.

When Scarlett is propositioned by Layla she’s put in a tough position. Layla wants Scarlett to take her to the bar they all go too bc Dex won’t take her. She loves Dex and wants to prove she can live in his pirate life. Scarlett reluctantly agrees hoping she won’t get into too much trouble later.

After Scarlett and Layla are attacked and they have to defend themselves, Layla’s life will never be the same. Her face was scanned and now she’s on the wanted posters. Scarlett feels terrible and Dex isn’t going easy on her. Asher comes up with a solution for the moment.

Asher and Rock have a friend named Cullen out west whose always asking them to come visit. It’s perfect place for Layla to lay low for awhile. Jack agrees and on their way they go.

When they get out West things aren’t lining up. If Scarlett thought the sun and the heat was her only problem she was wrong. Cullen def tricked Asher on coming.

Cullen needs help and he knows the best guy to help him is Asher. A hotshot from Columbus has come and buying up all the businesses. There’s more and more people addicted to drugs and people going missing. There’s definitely something wrong.

Asher and Scarlett go home looking to get backup. Keith introduces them to Creed, who agrees to help and bring twenty other people. Asher is all for it and Scarlett has her guard up until otherwise.

Scarlett, Asher, Creed and Cullen all go investigate what is going on and things were worse than they originally thought.

Asher’s past is not in the past anymore. When Asher, Scarlett and their friends shut down the auctions they thought things would calm down. But, Asher is now face to face with something he thought was done. The pits. Where boys are sold, then taught to fight and put into the pit to fight. If you die you loose and the boy still standing wins.

Asher might’ve escaped but the pits have never left him. Asher’s on a mission to safe everybody being held against their will, destroy the pit and kill everybody involved. It’ll be his Retribution.

Scarlett’s never seen this side of Asher before. He’s so conflicted but as long as he’s got Scarlett next to him he knows he’ll survive. There’s also Creed whose got a story as well that has him invested in taking out the pits for good.

Scarlett also can’t forget about Blake. Asher’s father. The guy who sent her to the mines and has some sick fascination with Scarlett.

I flew through this story. Like the first two books once I started I couldn’t put it down till I finished. Asher and Scarlett are still amazing together. They’re there for each other regardless of what’s going around them. They don’t run off if one has an attitude about something. When Scarlett finally tells Dex and Asher the entire story about her past with Blake. Asher was there, never leaving her side.

Even with all the darkness surrounding them and their friends they put each other first. Creed had me worried for most of this book. I definitely wasn’t expecting what his backstory was going to be.

I can’t wait for the next part of this story. After everything Scarlett, Asher and their friends went through they deserve to be able to breathe and not have to look over their shoulders 24/7. I’m hoping Blake gets what he deserves and that Scarlett and Asher getting the revenge they are overdue  for!!!

Kate L. Mary has such an amazing imagination. I want in her head even for just a little while. She writes stories that I want to see on the big screen. Even though I couldn’t and wouldn’t want to see this be real, I’d hope I’d be as brave as the women she writes and find a guy as amazing as the ones she finds.  As usual I’m extremely excited for her next release.

✯Release✯Insatiable by LL Collins

Title: Insatiable
Author: L.L. Collins
Genre: Contemporary Romance (standalone)
Release Date: May 23, 2019 Cover Design: Cover Me, Darling
Insatiable (adjective): having an insatiable appetite or desire for something, especially sex.
I am Dr. Porter Kingsley.
In my life, I am not easily satisfied. I have an uncontrollable need to have more.
More sex, more success, more money, and definitely more control.
The one thing I must control the most is commitment.
I’m married to the job, and it’s a damn important one.
Being the top neurosurgeon at the age of thirty is all the commitment I need.
Because I’ve been down that other road before, and all it comes with is heartbreak.
I’ve been relentless in my pursuit of excellence, and I give one hundred percent to everything I do.
Then Dr. Kaya Hensley breezed her way into my hospital and tried to tell me what to do.
She’s brash, bossy, ballsy, and beyond beautiful.
But I won’t let that get to me, because she’s my competition.
She’s everything I want in my bed, but not in my heart.
No one puts Porter Kingsley on his heels.
Kaya has different plans, but she has no idea.
My desire to be number one cannot be quenched, no matter the consequences.
I am insatiable.

This time, I caught what had their attention, and everyone else’s in the room. I felt my jaw unhinge and my lips part. I looked like every other red-blooded male in this room now, but hell if I could stop the reaction to what I saw. A woman. But not just any woman. The most gorgeous woman I’d ever laid eyes on, and God knew how many I’d laid eyes—and hands—on. Her long, dark hair fell in waves down her back. She wore a tight pencil skirt that showed every mouthwatering curve that a woman could have. Long, tanned, toned legs led to five-inch black heels, the kind that men envisioned women leaving on during sex. Once I had forced my eyes off her legs, I took in the silk blouse she wore, the way it hugged her full breasts just so, and I almost groaned. In the low light of the bar, I caught a hint of lace underneath her shirt. She turned her head, as if she felt our gaze, and my breath caught. She had the face of an angel, with large doe-like eyes, high cheekbones, and full, red lips. She made Stacie, our waitress, look like a little girl. She shifted her gaze back to the bartender, who was practically tripping over himself to serve her. It looked like she was alone, but if it was up to every single straight man in this place, she wouldn’t be for long. I was up and off my barstool and headed her way before I could even second-guess why.
L.L. Collins was born and raised in the eternal summer state of Florida. She lives with her high school sweetheart husband and is driven mad daily by her two teenage boys, but her princess dog is her favorite child and kind of makes up for the testosterone flying around her house. LL has been writing since she was old enough to write. Always a story in her head, almost six years ago she made her lifelong dream of becoming an author come true in the self-publishing world. She's the author of contemporary romance novels. Look for more of her emotionally charged novels exclusively on Amazon!
