Holy smokes!!!  I fell hard for Chaz and Cade in Vengeance and Warrant. I knew I’d fall for Nick but I couldn’t believe how hard I’d fall for him. 

Nick has been missing a part of himself. It’s been missing for the last fourteen years. Nick Williams was born Nick Popov. His father Dimitri is an evil and vicious man. His lives and breathes kidnapping, raping, beating and selling woman. He planned on his son taking over the business. But, Nick met Blaire. 

For the first time Nick knew what love was. He’d do anything to protect Blaire. When they were eighteen they got married. That night his life fell apart. In order to save Blaire’s life he had to leave. The only person who knew the truth of who Nick was is Blaire’s brother Caleb. He promised to keep her safe until Nick was able to comeback for her. The things that he lived with.

It’s why when Roan Diamond and his wife show up with an amazing job offer, she’s conflicted. She knows about Roan and his empire rumors. But, she knows the ladies need her help. 

Blaire couldn’t believe her eyes when her husband and brother are in her office. She’d been waiting for the day she’d see him again. But, knowing her brother knew everything and hadn’t told her anything she feels more than betrayed. Nick let’s her know he’s back for her, he’ll never give her a divorce and things won’t be easy but they’ll do it together. 

The things Nick and Blaire have to go thru just to see the HEA sign is mind blowing!! Nick has so much going on in his head that he’s hardly able to keep things straight. But, he knows if he’s not focused it could cost the people he loves the most. Nick won’t let anybody else be hurt or killed by his father. As long as he’s got Blaire by his side he just might make it out alive. 

This is the third book in the series. I’d read it in order bc you’ll def miss something’s. ESP Nick’s sister Jillian story bc you’ll understand certain things and you’ll feel what they’re going thru. And, you’ll get deeper into their dad. If you have triggers be careful going into this and the previous books. 

I absolutely loved this story!!! Whenever I get more Roan I’m a happier girl lol. Nick was everything I’d expected and then add double to it. Blaire is the perfect match for him. Kathy wrote another amazing story. Now, I need Caleb’s story!!!

Oh Kate, Kate, Kate L. Mary!!! What’re you doing to me?!?! She writes such badass characters that I’m hooked instantly when I start a book of hers. Let me just start by saying I’m not a zombie lover(def don’t watch TWD) and yet I’m hooked on this series. Not many authors can do that. 

We pick up where book one left off. Andrew has gotten Harper back and planning on turning her over because she’s immune. Regan and Kellan feel horrible about it so they make a plan to get her back. 

Afterwards they run into bad weather and sinkholes. They run into a familiar stranger named Bill. Bill takes them back to the airplane hanger he calls home. Regan and Kellan can’t believe how many people live there and the stories of how they got there. Regan and Kellan invite Bill and his group to comeback and stay with them in their compound.  

Once everybody is moved into the compound emotions and tension are running high. They have to stay indoors and only certain people can go outside Incase Andrew’s watching them. Bill’s number one guy Ernie doesn’t like how their group does things and def don’t like how Kellan tends to be in charge. He’s doing whatever he can to overthrow things. 

Kellan and Regan finally give into their true feelings for each other. They both learn how long they’ve been hiding their feelings for each other. These two have been in each other’s lives wayyyyy before the apocalypse hit. They can’t live without each other. It’s like they can’t breathe when the other one isn’t around and bc of that they didn’t want to say they were feeling more than friendship bc they were afraid they’d loose the other one. 

I’m not giving anything else away bc there’s SOOOO much more that’s going on. In this world it’s not only the zombies you have to be afraid of, it’s also the people who sleep next to you at night. There’s very few people Regan and Kellan can trust with their lives, secrets and everything else in between.  

After the way this book ended  I’m dying to get the next one. One of the many many reasons why Kate L. Mary is one of my favorite authors is bc she writes stories that are original, the characters are badass and they’re so unpredictable. Whenever I try to think what’ll happen or how it’s going to end... Boom!! She’ll take the book out of your hand and smack you upside your head. She’s THAT good!! So, hurry up with the next part of Regan And Kellan’s story.

She's also been a mom, with three little girls who are sure to grow up to break a number of hearts. She's been a wife, though she's certainly not the cleanest, or the best cook. She's also super, duper fun at a party, especially if she's been drinking whiskey.   From roots in Houston to a seven year stint in Southern California, Staci and her family ended up settling somewhere in between and equally north, in Denver. I absolutely loved loved the first book in this series and had been waiting not so patiently for one of Tucker and Kennedy’s friends to get their story. Tucker’s sister and best friend Jase. They were hardly in book one, so I had no idea what to expect going into this. 

When Sophie turned 18 she threw herself a party at one of her parents houses. When she had enough liquid courage she made her move. She’s been in love with Jase for as long as she can remember but he’d looked at her as his best friends little sister. But, tonight was different. When they’re alone and both let their walls down and give into their feelings, Sophie’s brother Tucker comes looking for her. Jase freaks out and ends up leaving her alone. Sophie’s never forgave him and wants nothing to do with him. 

Now that she’s graduated college and moved back home she can’t find a job. Her brother gets her an interview, but doesn’t let her know Jase has given her the opportunity to interview. Sophie’s pissed but she needs a job. The minute she sees him her thighs and jaw clinch together and her heart speeds up. Sophie will stay away from him as much as possible. 

Jase has regretted walking away from Sophie all those years ago. The minute he sees her he knows being around her everyday at the office just might give him a heart attack. But, he wasn’t lying when he said she was the best qualified for the job. He’ll just stay away and continue showing his boss he made the right choice when he left him in charge. 

Jase and Sophie did their best to stay away from each other. It just continues proving to be difficult. Sophie’s team leader is a jerk and Jase helps her with a few things. Maybe they could just be friends. 

Until a kiss leads to more and these two can’t seem to keep their hands off of each other. It doesn’t matter if they’re at the office or home. If their close to each other it ends up with them tangled in the other. 

When Sophie’s brother comes back to town to get married is when the test of them will be. When, how and who will tell Tucker and what will the outcome be. There’s still another obstacle in their way. Will one of them run away or stay. 

I read this in one day. These two really were great together. They spent years not speaking for nothing!!! All dumb reasons. I get why Jase ran, Tucker’s his own family and he didn’t wanna loose him. As much as I wanted to smack Sophie I had to keep reminding myself she was only 18yrs old and embarrassed I do get it. 

All in all this was a good read. But, the one thing I had things that weren’t believable. All that sex they had in the office. He’s her boss and if these two weren’t doing each other, they were arguing or ignoring each other. I’m not sure how nobody heard any of that. Other than that I really liked this. 

Now, if Holly goes back to both Tucker and Kennedy’s roommates and friends. Bc, their stories I’ve been anxious for lol.

Kate L. Mary continues to prove over and over again why she’s one of my favorite authors. All her female characters are fighters. Doesn’t matter if their fighting zombies, post apocalyptic life, weird cult life or men thinking their word is final.  They find a way to survive and come out on top. 

Right before Willow was born her father and brothers died in a car accident. Her mother couldn’t handle loosing them and she found The Church of David. It’s the only life Willow knows. She knows nothing of the life outside the compound. 

When girls turn 15 they are betrothed to their future husbands by Father David. Willow doesn’t know exactly what goes on other than it’s God’s will. The betrothed couple get one night together until the girl turns 18 and then they’ll be married. 

Willow is betrothed to David. The son to Father David. That night was the start of a living nightmare for Willow. David takes advantage of his power. He rapes and beats Willow.  

Afterwards instead of going home Willow ran away. She found a couple who took her in. Those few weeks were the best she ever had. Willow saw and learned things she’d never heard of before. She wanted to stay with them forever. One night Father David, David and a few of the elders found her and dragged her home. 

Father David punished Willow. He let her know if she did anything out of the rules the women must follow or try to escape again, her mother will pay for it. She was to keep her head down, follow the rules and marry his son when she turns 18. 

Willow laid low. Try to stay out of trouble. The closer to her 18th birthday the harder it’s becoming for Willow. She knows there’s more to life than what Father David says. She got more love when she escaped than her 18yrs from her mom. 

Willow refuses to marry David. She just has to figure out her plan. Then one afternoon she meets Jared. One look at Willow’s life will never be the same. He looks, talks and treat her better than anyone ever has. The more time she spends with Jared the harder it’s getting for her to know what to do. She does know that she doesn’t want to marry David. But, she can’t figure out a way out of it. 

I read this book in two sittings. I don’t have triggers. Even saying that there were some parts that had me flinching. So dive in with a warning. 

Kate wrote this story and did an amazing job. I can totally see this as a Lifetime Movie. I’m glad she decided to hit publish this story that she’s been pushing for awhile bc Willow’s story needed to be told.
