Prologue

The palms of my hands are sweating.
Standing in front of an unassuming building, I look up to see its sheer size. Still, it’s inconspicuous because it looks exactly like all the other buildings surrounding it.
The sun breaks out just behind the brick building, casting the entrance into shadow.
Funny, that. Because I’ve been living in the shadows all my life. Now is the time for me to come out of the shadows, and speak my truth.
Speak our truth.
There’s a line of cars in front of the building, all marked with the same lettering.
My heart beats quickly as a shock of finality runs through my veins.
This is where part of me will die and another part of me will live.
All my life I’ve been worried about what people think of me. But I can’t continue on in a life where I’m only breathing. I need to learn to live.
I take several deep breaths, ready to cross the street and take the leap I’ve been longing for.
“You can do this,” I say to myself. The sun is moving higher, the shadow becoming smaller.
Yes, you can.
I look to my left, and to my right, checking for oncoming cars.
I keep walking, crossing the street. I know if I stop for even a second, I’ll talk myself out of going.
You can do it.
I walk until I come to the automated doors that slowly slide open.
Hopefully, they’ll believe you.
I head to the counter, where a woman with dark hair pulled back in a severe ponytail and wearing a uniform is working on a computer. She looks up, but remains seated. “Can I help you?” she says in a flat voice.
My hands tremble, so I knit them together to stop the emotion bursting to come forward.
“I, um,” my voice quivers with uncertainty.
“Are you okay?” She stands and comes closer to the counter. She looks behind me, searching for a hint as to why I’m so edgy.
“I, um, need to talk to the police unit who deals with sexual abuse.”

                ✯✯5 Echo Filled Stars!!! ✯✯
I’m bowing down to Margaret McHeyzer again!! Whenever I finish a book by her I’m blown away all over again. Whenever I finish a book by her I say it’s my new favorite book by her and then she releases another book and I’m saying it all over again lol. Echoes of You was no different then all her other books.

I can sit here and write a nice lengthy review and you’ll know everything. But, I’d hate to give everything away. I was on a crazy ride of emotions from the first sentence to the last.

The prologue made my heart break. Then part one started and my heart was pounding bc you’re introduced to three characters that all have a role to play and that role made my stomach turn upside down and inside out every page.

At part two we met Molly. She was adopted at seven years old to two amazing loving parents. Her sister Tina was adopted as well and they’re the same age and share the same birthday. They’ve been best friends and sisters since the day they brought Molly home. Their family was extremely close and none of them ever thought that would change. But, they always say never say never.

The girls are graduating high school and turning 18. Tina starts dating a guy and when Molly meets Dylan, Tina pushes for a double date. When Molly meets Tina’s boyfriend instantly the hairs on her arms raise. Molly doesn’t get a good vibe of him but Tina won’t hear about it.

Dylan is a little older then Molly but he’s legit an amazing guy!!! Talk about the perfect guy.

I kept waiting for Dylan to pull the rug out from below me bc nobody is that amazing.

When tragedy hits Molly’s family it hit not only rained but poured. Bc, Molly’s demons decided that moment to return to the surface and blindside everybody close to her.

At the end of the day the people closest to her will standby her side but the one person that can help Molly get past what she’s going thru is Molly herself.

I read this book so quick I’m not sure I remember breathing when I read it. That’s how good it was. I hardly looked up from my kindle.

This book definitely can trigger some people if you have triggers. There’s both physical abuse and mental health issues that Molly and her family have to deal with.

Margaret writes stories that are 110% real life for a lot of people in the world today. And, story after story that Margaret publishes she writes them all beautifully. Even though some or multiple parts of a book might be hard to read but believe me Margaret has 1000% done her research for every single subject that she puts down on paper. Echoes of You was no different. I’m really, really looking forward to her next release.

Author Bio

STRONG, BRAVE AND COURAGEOUS CHARACTERS.

**Write something worth reading**

I'm Margaret and I'm a self-published author.

Recently I was fortunate in obtaining New York Times best-selling status on my YA/NA book - Ugly, and my YA book - Mistrust.

My last six books have been YA and I'm completely in love with the genre. I love being able to communicate with people through my words and stories.

My writing genres all differ, but the one thing I keep consistent is my heroines. All my female lead characters are strong, gutsy and not the 'perfect' woman. While my books all have romantic elements in them, they aren't just about the romance. They're about finding strength, acceptance and making life long connections.

I hope you enjoy my stories as much as I have while writing them.
