Hate is a strong word.

Depending on the company, loathe is a good substitute. Abhor might be a little fancy, but it gets the job done. But the word that really sums up how I feel about Liam Darcy is, without question, hate.

He doesn’t seem to think much of me either. The second he lays his fault-seeking eyes on me, he sets out to oppose me. Everything about him is imposing, as if he consumes the nearby air to power the rise and fall of his broad chest, and it’s clear he resents my presence on his advertising team. Every idea I have is shot down. Every olive branch I offer is set on fire by nothing more than the blistering coals he calls eyes.

In return, I light him up with my words.

It’s not as if he can dismiss me, since I work for his client, Wasted Words. Instead, he’s forced to tolerate me, which seems the closest we’ll ever be to friends. Fine by me.

I can be civil and still hate Liam Darcy.

But if there’s more to him than his exterior shows, I won’t be able to hate him at all. I might stumble over that line between love and hate and fall right into his arms.

✯✯5 Hate Filled Stars!!!✯✯

OMG I’ve been waiting for Laney’s story since I read Coming Up Roses the first of the Bennet Brothers Series.

Laney Bennet is the only girl in her family. Her families flower shop Longbourne has been in their family for generations. The normal thing is the daughter takes over when their mom is ready to retire but Laney never saw herself taking over Longbourne’s ESP since her brothers and their significant others have really stepped up when they almost lost it.

Now that Longbourne’s is in the good hands of her younger brothers, Laney and her twin brother Jett are headed back to  Wasted Words, the bar/bookstore they work at.

Laney has been in charge of Wasted Words’s social media for the past year. Wasted Words is expanding and opening up new locations so they’ve asked Laney to work with the company that’s going to get the word out about the new locations.

Laney really likes  Georgie Darcy who is the go-too person between Wasted Words and the PR firm. When Laney meets Georgie’s older brother Liam it’s a different story. Liam instantly snubs Laney and for no reason. Laney is instantly mad but she won’t let Liam treat her like she’s below him regardless of what he thinks.

Liam Darcy works for DeBourgh and Associates a business his parents had built and left for him and his younger sister  Georgie.

His aunt took them in after the passing of his parents and is in charge of the daily running of the PR firm.

Liam is a ruthless businessman. He works hard for his clients and also lives to protect his sister. He’ll do whatever he has too to protect her even if he has to come across as the bad guy.

Liam has no desire to deal with Laney but that’s what his clients want and he’ll do whatever the client wants. Including working with Laney Bennet.

Just the sight of Laney puts him in one seriously bad mood. It sets him so off that he goes off on her in a meeting in front of their entire team and it doesn’t set well with Laney and after the meeting when they’re alone, Laney lets him know what she thinks of both him and his actions.

When Laney goes off in Liam it should piss him off but it makes him feel things he knows he shouldn’t feel for her.

Liam’s mixed feelings for Laney weren’t the worst of his problems. He’s worried about whatever is going on between his sister and that  Jett Bennet. His aunt doesn’t want a Bennet near her business or her niece & nephew or in business or alive and breathing she hates them that much. And, there’s an ex of his & Georgie’s lives that are back around and dragged Laney into the mix. Needless to say Liam’s has had it.

Liam and Laney are more alike then they realize. If they actually realized it then both of their lives would be a lot easier lol but that’s easier said then done.

I’m legit in love with everything about this book.  It brought back so many things I’ve loved from Staci Hart previously like the Bennet family, Wasted Words and all those precious characters I’ve read and loved from both sets of books.

And, talk about a serious enemies to lovers book... This is 11000% it!!! As I was reading I got to 66% and when Mr. Bennet put his arm around Laney and they talked and she cried I found myself crying right along with Laney.

I’m so so so upset to have to be saying goodbye to the Bennet family. I simply don’t wanna!!! Lol and I’m not sorry about it. I am really looking forward to what Staci Hart will release next.

Staci has been a lot of things up to this point in her life -- a graphic designer, an entrepreneur, a seamstress, a clothing and handbag designer, a waitress. Can't forget that. She's also been a mom, with three little girls who are sure to grow up to break a number of hearts. She's been a wife, though she's certainly not the cleanest, or the best cook. She's also super, duper fun at a party, especially if she's been drinking whiskey. When she's not writing, she's reading, sleeping, gaming, or designing graphics.
