A maid at the exclusive Romance Island Resort, Audra knows how to handle rock stars, billionaires and celebrities. She keeps their secrets, cleans up their mess and makes sure their holiday is a memorable one. There's just one rule: no relationships with guests.

And Audra never breaks the rules.

Jay Felix is rock royalty and he knows it. When one of his bandmates threatens to break up the band, he goes into hiding at the Romance Island Resort. Looking for a distraction, he sets his sights on the unattainable Audra. But what's a rock star to do when the girl he wants is the one woman he can't have?

Welcome to paradise, where the romance is as hot as the weather and the tides aren't the only thing surging under the surface.

excerpt

A soft chime sounded, echoing in the villa. "Housekeeping at the door," a recorded but mellifluous English voice announced. "Maid service required?"

"Hell yes!" Audra heard Plum-Bum's excited shout.

His sister hushed him. The front door flew open and Audra found herself face to face with a young woman about her own age. Audra lowered her gaze to the woman's expensive shoes. "We don't need anything. We just arrived today and haven't made enough mess to need a clean-up yet."

But I did, Audra thought but didn't say. The bath tub was still full of frog-tainted towels. "Towels," she said, pointing.

"Ask her!" Plum-Bum insisted, his bare feet appearing on the tiles behind the woman. "You'd fuck me, right?"

Wow. He might have decent equipment, but that's all that defined this dickhead. Probably a porn star for sure. "No, thank you," Audra said faintly.

"What'd she say?" Plum-Bum demanded.

The woman shook her head and guided Audra to the bathroom, then blocked the doorway to keep her brother out. "She doesn't understand English. Most hotel maids are foreign migrants, waiting for their qualifications to come through as they improve their English so they can get higher-paying jobs. Besides, she could lose her job for sleeping with a guest. Don't you remember what the hotel manager said about fraternisation policies during our tour? Leave her alone, Jason."

Audra snorted. In Perth, maybe, hotel staff were recent migrants, but not here in Broome. Even the casual staff were Aussie. But if the woman's words kept her oversexed brother's hands off her, all the better. She set the stack of fresh towels on the edge of the spa and stuffed the froggy ones into the laundry bag.

Glass clinked on metal. An empty beer bottle going into the bin, most likely. The crunch and crackle of plastic followed it. Definitely the bin. She'd empty that on the way through and then she could escape the Pearls for the day.

Fixing her eyes firmly on the tiled floor, Audra marched to the kitchen to the approaching beat of helicopter rotors. Third flight today.

"Right, there's my ride returning. Don't get into too much trouble, don't make too much trouble for the staff, and enjoy your holiday. If you're not fit and ready for the band's farewell tour, you know it'll be your balls on the chopping block."

Band? Did she say he was in a band? Audra raised her gaze to scrutinise Plum-Bum's face. Even with the sexy stubble along his usually clean-shaven jaw, she recognised the face from the poster that had adorned her bedroom wall for the better part of the last five years. The one Sam kissed every morning. One she'd fantasised about since high school. Maybe she'd even kissed that poster once or twice herself. She glanced away before he could catch her staring. Oh shit. She'd already seen his –

"Promise me that if you get lonely, you'll call me. Don't do anything stupid." The sister sniffed. "I do love and care about you, you know."

"HA!" he shouted. "I knew it. Told you that you wanted me. It's not incest if I'm your stepbrother. Everyone wants me."

Audra snorted. Arrogant prick. Even she could tell the girl didn't.

"You're delusional, Jason. I love you because you're my brother, blood or no blood. I wouldn't sleep with you if you were the last man on Earth." She pulled out her phone and tapped it meaningfully. "Promise me you'll call me."

He nodded sulkily.

Her eyes met Audra's. "Don't take any shit from him. There's a place in town that neuters tomcats for half-price. You can put it on his hotel bill." She winked.

Audra stifled a snort of laughter. Mess with this man's glorious equipment? The world would weep. Especially if castration robbed him of his signature, underwear-igniting singing voice. Even she'd shed a tear for the loss.

She waited for the sister to leave before she pulled out the rubbish bin to change the bag inside.

Bare feet appeared beside the bin. "You understood every word, I bet," he said. "And I know you recognised me. If you know who I am, we both already know the answer to my question. So answer me. Would you fuck me?"

Sensationalist spin? No - Demelza tends to take a camera with her so she can capture and share the moment later; shipwrecks, sharks and all. Demelza now lives in Perth, Western Australia, the shark attack capital of the world. The Ocean's Gift series was her first foray into fiction, followed by the Nightmares trilogy. She swears the Mel Goes to Hell series ambushed her on a crowded train and wouldn't leave her alone.

Abby sagged against the elevator wall, completely exhausted from her long day. All she wanted now was the hot bath Sean had promised, followed by blissful sleep. Sophie, along with her personal security detail, Danny Nucci and Ron Miller, stepped into the elevator with her.

“That wasn’t as bad as it could’ve been,” Sophie said.

“Danny was lucky enough to get cornered by that woman.” Ron chuckled and pressed the buttons for their floors. “Left me to hold back all the squealing teenagers.”

Abby fought the urge to roll her eyes. The woman was gross. She was dressed like a cheap whore. And, she was there with her daughter, not at some nightclub. She wouldn’t leave Danny alone.

“You could’ve given me some help. She was disgusting.” He shook his head exaggeratedly.

“She was quite fond of you.” Abby laughed to mask her real feelings.

“Not one of you tried to intervene. I’m gonna need to shower for a week in order to get her perfume out of my nose. She reeked.”

“Yeah, you do smell pretty,” Abby goaded.

“I’ll remember this. Just wait,” Danny warned as the elevator door opened to Sophie’s floor.

“Night.” Sophie gave Abby a quick peck on the cheek before she stepped off the elevator.

“Night.” Abby waited inside the elevator with Danny. He held the door open while Ron walked Sophie to her room.

“So, what are your plans for the rest of the night? A late night rendezvous with the smelly cougar?” Abby teased.

“Aren’t you the funny one this evening. Well, baby doll, it’s two-thirty in the morning, so I’m thinking sleep. Why? Did you have something in mind?”

She got lost for a minute in his deep-brown eyes that sparkled with mischief. She’d always thought he was hot, but she was caught off guard by the desire to touch his cheek, to smooth her fingertips over his dimples. This visceral reaction to Danny kept happening more and more frequently, no matter how much she tried to suppress it.

“Um, you still with me, Abby?”

She blinked, and her cheeks flushed with heat. “Oh, you want me to answer you?” she laughed to cover up her embarrassment. She didn’t want him to realize she’d been daydreaming about how rough his five o’ clock shadow would feel against the flat of her tongue. “I told you how I feel about your stupid nicknames.” She tried to sound pissed, but didn’t pull it off.

Ron laughed as he entered the elevator and pressed the button for their floor. Danny glared at him for a moment then started laughing with him.

Abby changed the subject. Much safer that way. “What time are we heading out in the morning?”

“Oh-nine-hundred hours,” Danny replied.

“Okay, Drill Sergeant, I’ll be ready.” The elevator dinged, and the doors opened to the semi-private floor which held the suite she shared with Sean, along with another across the hall where Danny and Ron stayed.

“Well, Military Man, it’s been a pleasure. I’m gonna go pass the hell out. Have a good night. See ya, Ron.” She waved over her shoulder as she slid her keycard through the electronic lock. When the reader beeped and the green light came on, she gave the men one last smile before entering her suite.

She closed the door and removed the nude color platform pumps from her aching feet. Clearly, her shoes were made for showing, not walking. She made her way into the large sunken living room; the muted neon glow from the Vegas strip was the only light in the room.

“Sean?” Abby called on her way to the bedroom. She dropped her shoes next to the dresser.

Sean wasn’t there, even though he’d said he would be. Abby blew out a puff of air, annoyed with herself for believing him, yet again. She wasn’t lying when she said she’d reached her limit, but that didn’t matter when he knew that it wasn’t up to her anyway. Her mother would never let her leave him. She had plans, and it didn’t matter what Abby wanted. Abby turned the light on then dug into her bag for her phone. It wasn’t there. “Fuck,” she muttered. She picked up the hotel phone and dialed Sean’s number. It went to voicemail. She hung up. There was no point in leaving a message.

She dialed back to the operator and asked to be connected to Sophie’s room.

“Hey, sorry to bother you, but do you have my phone?”

“No, I don’t think so, but let me look. Hold on.”

Abby chewed her lip, thinking about Sean. Where the hell was he? Worse, who was he with? A hard knot formed in her stomach as she thought about what he might be doing.

“Hey,” Sophie said. “I don’t have it.”

“I must’ve left it in my dressing room.” Typical, considering the way her luck had been tonight. “Sean’s not here. You know what that means.” She sighed. “I’m gonna go find my phone.”

“Why do you even bother with him anymore? We’ve hashed this out before.”

“It’s late. Can we talk about this later? He’s not here and right now I can’t even think about what that means, but I know I need my phone.” She was sick of it all.

“You shouldn’t go alone.”

“It’ll take twenty minutes. Quick and easy.” Thankfully the arena was connected to the hotel.

“Okay, but ask one of the boys to go.”

“They’ve had a long night. I don’t want to bother them. I won’t be long, and besides, you’ll know where I am. When I find my phone, I’ll call you.”

“Abby! Tell them. I get that you’re upset, because Sean’s disappeared…again but don’t do something stupid.”

“Fine. Will you come with?”

“I’ll meet you at the elevator.”

“Perfect. Thanks.” Abby slipped on a pair of flats and unhooked the panic button from her purse and attached it to her bracelet. Danny insisted that she wear the damn thing. She insisted that it looked good as a charm she could wear hanging from wrist or attached to her purse. After all, security was important, but appearances could make or break her career. She didn’t want it to look like she had a tracking device on her.

Abby double-checked that her keycard was in her pocket before she let her door close behind her, then she jabbed the call button for the elevator. She was about to knock on the door to Danny and Ron’s suite, but a ding sounded behind her and announced the arrival of the elevator. “Damn.” She decided to call the guys when she got her phone and hurried into the elevator before the doors could slide shut without her.

✯Review✯Bo(Bad Boys of Retribution MC #3) by Rie Warren

Synopsis:

Now available.

From the world of Carolina Bad Boys . . . Bo Maverick is ex-Force Recon and a force to be reckoned with.

Bo:
I’m a lover, not a fighter. Yeah, right. Talk about bullshit. I’ve been fighting all my life, and I know zip about love. Frankly, I don’t want to. More than bullets whizzing past my head or the very real possibility of ending up dead, love scares the shit out of me. I’m used to guns and killing, blood and dust.

Lust.

That’s what I feel for this woman, my goddamn shrink, Veronica. Doctor Hartley digs inside my head. She asks me questions, which I never answer. I’d much rather take the smart, sexy Doc to bed, but I can’t because of our clinical relationship.

My last Force Recon mission destroyed any semblance of humanity I had left. Those little triggers go off all the time now. When I’m asleep. When I’m awake. When the memories are raw. I bolt up, at knife point again, but there’s no enemy now.

Just Veronica and me.

Veronica:
Veronica. Doctor Hartley. I told Bo to call me Ronnie like everyone else, but he refuses. He shows up like he has a cattle prod shoved up his ass and sits through the allotted hour for his counseling session impervious to every approach. He’s powerful, forceful, explosive. He doesn’t scare me.

My marine doesn’t speak, but his sharp gaze pierces me all the same. He watches me with all the greed of a hunger never sated, a need never fulfilled. A desire never explored. He stows his secrets safely away, but I’m patient. I’ll get to him if he doesn’t get to me first.

And when I have him? I’ll want him forever. I know this. But I can’t. His past might be complicated, but mine is a minefield, one that will blow up in our faces before all is said and done.

Too bad. We could be so good together.

Warning: Graphic sex, graphic action, graphic language. Triple X caution.

 ✯✯5 Insanely Hot Stars!!!✯✯

Rie Warren is on one insane roll! The men that make up the Bad Boys of Retribution MC are all big bad and scary on the outside. But, on the inside they are all sweet guys who are all fighting their own battles and demons. And, because of whatever they're fighting in their heads the guys are lonely and in desperate need of love. And, like the rest of the guys Bo is the same way.

Bo is a Marine through and through. He comes from a family of Marines. It's in his blood, sweat and tears. It's who he is. That is until his last mission. Bo's last mission ended up with his guys who he'd considered family their mission didn't end good. It ended up with them being captured, tortured, beaten and killed. Bo can't get it out of his head. Day or night it's always  on his mind. He has such PTSD he wakes at night with the sweats, he must check his house bottom to top to check for enemies and he must sit with his back against the wall. Bo would give anything to be able to switch places with one of his men that didn't make it.

Bo ended up leaving the Marine's. It is something that bothers him the most. When Bo runs into his old time buddy and fellow ex-Marine Hunter things get a little better. Hunter vouches for Bo and he's instantly patched into the Bad Boys of Retribution MC. Hunter also knows what kind of demons that Bo is going through. Hunter sets Bo up with his shrink Ronnie Hartley. Bo sets up some sessions to only then not show up.

Veronica AKA Ronnie Hartley knows how to help men and women who come home from war and dealing with PTSD. She makes it her mission to help them. And, she does it all for free. When Bo Maverick calls and sets up appointments to not show up for them. She decides to take matters into her own hands and show up at the MC clubhouse where both of them get the shock of their lives. Veronica is instantly attracted to Bo. Bo.. Well, for starters he was expecting Ronnie to be a man. Not a gorgeous Veronica.

Bo reluctantly  agrees to go for therapy. Both Bo and Veronica can see how much they effect the other one. Bo tries to use that to his advantage. Veronica as much as she is drawn to Bo will not cross the doctor-patient lines. No matter how much she tries to help him Bo doesn't make it easy. Veronica then refuses to continue to treat Bo and transfers him to another Dr that she thinks might be able to help him.

Bo starts to take his therapy more seriously with the new Dr. The fact that he doesn't fantasize about wanting to rip the new therapists clothes off and about doing everything sexual in the book to him is a major plus LOL.

It's Veronica who makes the first real move now that she's not his therapist. Even though she feels like she really could of helped Bo. They start a friendship which they both need. When Bo & Veronica let loose OMG are these 2 HOT HOT HOT!!! Man, did they have a lot of pent up stuff to let loose. Bo realizes rather quick that there is more to Veronica then she pretends to be. Veronica can go punch for punch with him. She can handle knives like a pro. Plus, Veronica sports an elaborate tattoo that resembles that of an MC. Veronica says she wants to tell him but she can't. And, she's doing it to save him.

Veronica's past comes back to take care of her once and for all. Luckily for her Bo will not give up on getting her back and safely. Bo knows it's not going to be easy and he can't do it alone. He also knows that the guys will help him get her back and safely. Here comes Hunter, Brodie, Boomer, Tuck, Cole and the rest of the MC. They've all been through this before.

This book is non-stop action. Rie definitely did her homework when it came to PTSD. Out of all the women in this spin-off series I am loving Veronica the most! Everything she did she did it for the best reasons. Even if it meant her not having contact or a relationship with someone. As long as the people were left safe or her not crossing her own moral lines. She would deal with her emotions of her actions herself. Veronica really is bad ass. Bo was also a great guy as well.  My heart broke for him with everything he went through his last mission. I hate that he put all the blame on himself and hid from the people that loved him the most.

Veronica and Bo are perfect for each other. They helped each other heal and move on.These 2 were brought into each others lives for a reason. Bo and Veronica saved each other from themselves, their dreams and from their enemies. Every story in this series is awesome and pretty much perfect. I'm so upset that there's only 1 story left in this series. But, I have to admit I been looking forward to Cole's story from 4 books ago. Knowing Rie she's saved the best for last. Cole!! And, I am fully prepared for it.
