Once Rose Fisher makes a decision, that’s it. End of story.
Like when her ex, Patrick, dumped her out of the blue, then showed up with a super hot, tatted up sex kitten on his arm. Then it was over for good. The end. Poof. Dead to her. Except he was everywhere — down the hall, at the bar with their friends, worming his way into her dreams.
But with their friends paired off, they’re left alone more and more. Rose is determined to keep him friendzoned — doesn’t matter that he stares at her with a smolder that drops all panties in a ten foot radius. She’s over him, and she’ll prove it by getting back into the dating game, Patrick be damned.
Patrick Evans is no stranger to consequences. When your mother walks out, your dad drifts away. When you leave home, you’re on your own. And when you run away from the girl you love, you lose her. He finally has an opportunity to rebuild the bridge he burned, and it’s not one he’ll take for granted. But he’ll have to fight for her, even if it hurts. Even if it means he’ll walk away brokenhearted. Because deep down, he knows that she’s it for him.
The trick will be to get her to admit she feels it too.

Finally!! I been waiting for Rose and Patrick AKA Tricky since the very beginning of this incredible series. This series has 6 incredible friends. Unlike the first 2 books Tricky and Rose have a past. They're trying to survive the present while praying for a future. Together.
Rose and Tricky were best friends. Then, they started sleeping together. With the rule if one wanted to end their arrangement just say it. No questions asked. No hard feelings. Until Tricky fell hard for Rose and got scared. So, he ended before she could. But, then he screwed up and Rose cut him off. She put up a 100 foot concrete fence lined with barb wire.
Seven months they're both hardly surviving. They're miserable without the other one. But, neither of them will step up and put their big girl/boy panties on. They're civil for their friends sake. But, anyone that looks at them can see the love and hurt in their eyes. West and Lily come up with a plan to get them to be around each other more. Now, Tricky is sleeping in Lily's bed in Rose's apartment.
Tricky is using it to his advantage. He plans on winning Rose back anyway he can. Getting her around him is the first step. He has his plan all set. Rose doesn't want Patrick in her apartment. She's only strong when he's not in front of her. Rose knows if she starts spending time with him the walls she has put up will start to crumble.
I absolutely loved this story. Patrick and Rose broke my heart multiple times. For 2 people so in love they couldn't figure out how to make them work. Their chemistry was never the problem. It was the talking they had the problem with.
Patrick had a hard life. First abandoned by his father. Then, his first real friend introducing him to hard time drugs. He was always waiting for Rose to leave him. Rose is one bad ass chick. She reminds me of me and Lily is my best friend Ariana. She's so in love with him. But, he hurt her to her core. Rose knows she couldn't handle loosing him again. She puts on her best get away from me attitude to protect herself from him.
The rest of the gang is all here and very much involved. West, Lily, Maggie, Cooper and we met her cousin Ellie. Which I'm praying we get Ellie's story!! The 3 guys had such a great relationship. One talk they had while playing basketball had me in tears. And, Rose and Lily. Every woman needs a friend like they did. Shockingly Rose and Cooper. Their's was shocking for me. But, I loved it!! I'm really praying this isn't the last of these incredible characters. You should just believe me and go buy this book. As well as the previous two. Like, now!!
Staci has been a lot of things up to this point in her life -- a graphic designer, an entrepreneur, a seamstress, a clothing and handbag designer, a waitress. Can't forget that. She's also been a mom; she has three little girls who are sure to grow up to break a number of hearts. She's been a wife; even though she's certainly not the cleanest, or the best cook. She's also super, duper fun at a party, especially if she's been drinking whiskey. Her favorite word starts with f and ends with k.
From roots in Houston, to a seven year stint in Southern California, Staci and her family ended up settling somewhere in between and equally north, in Denver. They are new enough that snow is still magical. When she's not writing, she's sleeping, gaming, or designing graphics.
