✯Release Review✯Slow Grind(Men of Mornington Book 1)by Eva Spencer

Synopsis

Only the good die young.
It’s a phrase I wish never existed.
Best mates shouldn’t get cancer, especially terminal at twenty-seven.
And experimental treatments shouldn’t cost a hundred grand. But sometimes life just effing sucked.
Then I got an idea to raise the cash. If a woman could strip her way through uni, we could strip our way to a cure, right? We were attractive Aussie guys, and with the help of Max’s kid sister, we could nail the choreography.
I hadn’t seen Aubrey since she was twelve. She’d gone from a pig-tailed, freckled, tom-boy into the sexiest chick I think I’d ever met. I made a promise to Max to steer clear, but when she was choreographing our routines …
The Men of Mornington were going to heat things up, and things just got a whole lot hotter.

 ✯✯3.5 Stars!!!✯✯

I wasn't sure what to expect when I started reading this book. I was freaked out reading this. Because, my younger brother's name is Andrew and he's a welder. He's excellent at his job and is a very good friend to have. He'd give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. You're prob wondering why I'm telling you this. Well, here's why.

Aubrey is six years younger then her brother Max. She's been in love with his best friend Andrew. Too bad he just looks at her as a kid and as Max's kid sister. One day she knows it'll change. Aubrey moves from Australia to the U.S after her parents divorce. She keeps in contact with Max. But, refuses to speak to her mother. That was until her mother calls one late night to give her news. Her brother Max's cancer has returned. He had it in his teens and beat it. But, now it;s back. And, he's terminal. Aubrey is taking the first flight back home.

Andrew, now going by Drew can not believe Max's cancer is back. Max is his best friend and he'd do anything for him, Drew works as a welder and is great at it. Drew has excellent friends. They've been friends forever. Sam, Cash, Nash and Drew insist on finding a way to help Max. They are not going to give up. Luckily, they found a treatment that is perfect for Max. Except they gotta come up with just about a hundred grand for travel and everything else.

Drew, Aubrey and the guys will do anything to raise the money to get Max the help. They all decide the guys will do a strip show to raise the money. Aubrey will do the choreography. That's where things get complicated. Aubrey still has a crush on Drew. But, Drew can not believe what Aubrey looks like now. His promise to Max that he'd stay away from Aubrey has left his memory.

I finished this book in one afternoon. I wish I would've known it wasn't a standalone. I thought the next book was going to be another one of these fine guys. But, nope it ended on a cliffhanger. I absolutely love Drew. Talk about a true best friend. He would do anything for his friends. Take time off work, find a way to help Max and learn to strip. OK, so he can't keep his hands off Aubrey..Oops lol. Aubrey is an awesome sister. She leaves college before finals for her bro, comes face to face with her mother and will not give up hope. Max has such an awesome support team. My fingers are crossed he can get help before it's too late.
