✯Review✯ Sixteen(The Dreamwalker Diaries #2)by Jen Estes

Synopsis

Six months ago, Ashling Campbell’s life was good. Okay, so the sleep deprivation sucked, but that’s what happens when you’re murdered by bloodthirsty demons on a nightly basis via freaky supernatural nightmares. That’s why she stepped up to her calling as a dreamwalker. But if she’d known that saving her town meant giving up everyone she loved, she’d have let that call go straight to voicemail.

She wants another chance. Just one. And the key to that chance lies with finding the mysterious stranger who disappeared shortly after her life went to hell. Her new mission is to dreamwalk again, or die trying.
The Jumlin wants another chance too. Just one. And the key to that chance lies with finding the weird sophomore who showed up just before he could summon hell on earth. His new mission is to stop the line of dreamwalkers, by killing just one – a girl that seems all too eager to die.

If Ash’s plan is to succeed, she’ll have to outsmart the immortal demon, piece together her thorny family tree, deal with a friend’s untimely return, and pass her driver’s test – all before she turns… SIXTEEN.

✯4 Dreamwalking Stars!!!

Jen Estes has FINALLY given me more of this crazy story!! I loved Fifteen and been pulling my hair out waiting for book 2. I was blindsided when all of a sudden I saw book 2 was releasing AND it had a name LOL.

I was nervous when I started this. I was afraid I wouldn't remember what happened in Fifteen. But, once I started Sixteen I remembered and my worries went out the window.

The prologue jumps right in. Or back actually. It jumps back to the very first Dreamwalker and gives you the how and why the demon Jumlin came and the Dreamwalker all began.

Ashling's life has been completely turned upside down six months ago. She's trying to deal with the effects of what happened.

Ashling is doing community service and trying to figure out a way to go back in time to save her mom. She goes looking for Dr. Rob. Figured he'd be able to help her figure it out. Except he's not who he says he is.

Things don't go as Ashling planned. When she goes back farther then originally wanted. She meets her mom as a teenager and befriends her. Unfortunately, the Jumlin runs into her and an explosion erupts. Ash unwilling messed up the previous Dreamwalkers job. When he switched Nadette.

Now, Ash has to try and fix what was undone. But, when Tate and Nadette show back up things get harder. The Jumlin now has his weapon and just has to wait until the perfect time. His  plan is to kill Ash's Dreamwalker family link. It's become a mission of do or die.

I flew thru this book. It was so interesting. The time traveling wasn't as much as the first book. That alone made it easier to follow. We learn all about the history and the ins and outs. We see all about the missing part of Ashling's family and where exactly she got the gene from.

Jen Estes better hurry up with book 3. After this cliffhanger  can't wait long to find out what will happen next!
