Oh Mayra Statham!! When I tell you I have a love-hate relationship with her novellas/short-stories. I always fall in love with the storyline, the characters and the side-characters. That's never an issue. I hate that it's over so quick. It goes from zero to one hundred quick and I'm a fan of things going a bit slower. But, thats just me.
Kenzie's a single mother of 2. She's been single since her divorce. Theres only been one guy whose caught her eye, but he's her oldest sons teacher so she feels like he's off limits. Her sister Lena's always telling her it is OK to date. When Mr. Chase Tucker makes a move on her she decides its time and ready to jump in.
Chase Tucker has had his eyes on Kenzie since the beginning of the school year. His plan was always wait until the end of the year. But, when he hears somebody else claiming they're going after her he realizes he cant wait any longer.
Their chemistry is thru the roof. These two are smoking hot! But, Kenzie wants to take things slow and Chase is perfectly OK with it. As long as he has her he'll let her take the lead.
I really liked these two. Loved how they didn't rush anything. But, bc its a shorter book it felt kinda rushed. It's why I'm a fan of full length stories. I'm looking forward to Kenzie's sister story.
