Missy Johnson legit has me crying with every single book she writes. I’m either crying bc it’s one of those ugly cry stories OR bc I’m laughing so hard I can’t help it.  This Awkward Love series is hysterical. 

We meet Darcy in the previous story Don’t Go There and she had me giggling whenever she popped up. So, I was glad to see she was getting a book. You don’t need to read the previous books but if you’re looking for great light funny reads then I’d suggest you read them. 

Darcy just moved back in with her mom, soon to be stepdad & younger stepbrother Mac. Her stepdad got her an internship so for now it’ll work. 

Darcy’s birthday just happens to be on April fools day and every year her two best friends pull out the pranks. Just when Darcy thought she’d had the ground rules set for them they top themselves. 

Darcy wakes up to find out that her friends set up a personal ad for her on one of those websites for BDSM, furries and everything goes types of fetishes. And, her profile was an everything goes type. Omg I’d legit kill my friends I’m just saying lmao. 

The texts, calls and emails Darcy received were interesting. But, there was one email that caught her eye. Darcy starts talking to James bc he’s the only one who figured out her profile must’ve been a fake. They start talking and have a connection. Darcy even tells him about her obnoxious, arrogant, douche soon to be stepbrother Cameron. When James wants to meet she agrees. But, when she walks in Darcy’s pissed. James is there but James isn’t James.... James is actually Cameron... Her soon to be stepbrother and major pain in her butt. 

Cameron has just moved back home bc of work.  His dads getting ready to get remarried. Cameron is dealing with his own feelings and issues with his dad and him remarrying. 

When Cam learns about Darcy’s ad he knows it’s gotta be a fake. But, he decides what the heck and messages her. Cam didn’t expect to have a connection to Darcy that he has. 

These two are a lot alike. They’re both headstrong, love competition and insist on being the winner. 

When Cam comes clean to Darcy that he’s talking to her and not James, it doesn’t end there. Cam and Darcy are both out to one up the other and OMG the things they did to each other and themselves just to beat the other was priceless. If I could get a guy that looks like Cam to dress the way Darcy did no joke I wouldn’t be able to keep a straight face. 

This is a must read!! Once I opened it there was no putting it down just like the previous ones in this series. I’m looking forward to more book in this series.

Aly Martinez is one of the best of the best. She’s an auto click for me. I know whenever I start a book by her my emotions are going to be going on an insanely crazy roller coaster ride of emotions. 

Cora is trapped in a building full of women who depend on her. There’s no way for her to get out. She’ll do whatever she needs to do to keep the girls safe, including putting herself in the crosshairs of the devils themselves. 

When Penn and his brother get hired as the new maintenance men for the building Cora’s hairs on the back of her neck stick up. Cora doesn’t trust Penn or his brother Drew. They were hired by the head of the Guerrero family and that alone made her cringe. But, he was gorgeous and made her feels things she hasn’t felt since she lost Nicolás. 

Cora had been stuck in this life she was living for the past fourteen years. She had a plan to get out. Cora’s been on a mission to get out. She was sticking to her plan.  Not even River and Savannah knew everything. But, Cora will do everything to keep them safe. With Penn being around he’s making things complicated.

Penn knew Cora was the way to get to the answers he needed. But, he was completely unprepared for what was coming. Cora made Penn feel things he’s never felt before in his life. Penn doesn’t know how Cora does it all. 

Penn finds himself super over protective over Cora, River and Savannah. He’ll do anything to go through with his plan.  Anything. But, he insists Cora, River and Savannah come out at the end safe and free. 

Holy crap! I never knew what was coming next. Cora went threw hell and she still kept her armor on and never let anybody see her scars or her cry. She looked after so many people I’m not sure how she kept track of everything and everybody. The way she’d put everything on the line for River and Savannah was amazing. And, Penn OMG he is one of my favorite guys this year!! He thought he didn’t have anything left to give he was wrong.  Penn didn’t realize he had that much to give. He thought he gave it away. He wanted revenge. But, he ended up getting so much more. 

After the last few sentences in this book I was hyperventilating. I am DYING for the next part of this story and now!!!!
