✯Release Review✯Vengeance by Kathy Coopmans

Blurb

I often wondered if Vengeance came with a price. I never cared, not after the torture I've endured.
For me, Vengeance is best served through the eyes of my scope. The twitch of my finger. The pull of a trigger.
The death of someone who deserves to die.
Revenge, retribution, and retaliation are all that comes to mind.
Cruel and brutal punishment for the hell inflicted on my family is all I’ve ever been able to think about.
The betrayal fresh in mind years later, reminding me of the day my world came crashing down.
I lost everything.
The woman I loved.
My sister.
My parents.
Myself.
You know what else I say about Vengeance?
It’s best served frozen.
No side dish of compassion. No extra helping of warning.
No dessert called a second chance.
The price I want for it.
Is written in blood.

✯✯5 Vengeance Filled Stars!!!✯✯

Kathy Coopmans I bow down to you once again!!! She can legit write anything. Her writing is flawless. Kathy can make you fall in love with the most vicious men around. Vengeance is no different.

Cade St. James had the perfect parents, older brother and sister. Was going to be a cop like his dad and let’s not forget Ivy. She was his neighbor and love of his life. Until ten years ago when his entire life changed.

Cade gets woken up in middle of the night to his parents getting murdered and house burning up in flames. When Cade can’t get to his siblings he has no choice but jump out the window. It’s then he overheard something he wished he could take back. It was his bro Drew and his friends who killed his parents, burned the house down and let’s not forget the things they did to his innocent sister. Cade knows he must disappear. He must leave Ivy until he’s ready to comeback and get his vengeance against Drew and his buddies.

Cade’s always been the love of Ivy’s life. Her last connection to him is his older brother Drew. Drew promised to take care of her. Once Ivy married Drew he changed, became a completely different person. The abuse he dishes out is cruel and unthinkable.

Ivy isn’t shy  in still being madly in love with Cade. It’s dreaming of him that gets her thru the days and nights with Drew.

Cade’s got his plan set in motion for vengeance. He’s only got two partners. His true brothers Chaz and Nick. Then of course there’s Roan Diamond(if you’ve read Kathy’s previous books you know who he is) his silent parent and for most part like a father figure. There’s only one part of the puzzle that’s a wildcard. Ivy.....

Cade isn’t sure if she was in on Drew plan all those years ago. If she was then he’d kill her.

Once Cade gets Ivy he realizes quickly that Drew wasn’t treating Ivy like the gift she is and that she’s been suffering as he has.

Now that they’re reunited things still are complicated. Ivy’s not afraid to let Cade know she’s still in love with him and this is their second chance. But, Cade has emotions all over the place. Yes, he still loves her. But, he’s a different man. Cade lets her know he has blood on his hands, has taken peoples lives and isn’t sorry about it. He’s not good enough for her. That once she’s safe from the hands of Drew he’s letting her go. Ivy on the other hand has a different plan for them.

Yes! Yes! Yes! This story was ah-may-zing!!!! Even though Cade is a ruthless killer, he’s still the innocent, lovesick teenager. He’d do anything for Ivy. Even if setting her free from his was the best for her. And, Ivy. I felt bad for her in the beginning. Couldn’t imagine how she lived thru the abuse from Drew. But, she was stronger and braver then she gave herself credit for.

Cade and Ivy are perfect together. He’s ruthless and vicious. Then, she’s strong and brave. They’re always bringing out the best in each other, knows what to say to the other and the love they have for each other is fierce.

And, Roan Diamond is a good side character. The way he was with Cade was great. They were colleagues-kinda, business partners and respected each other tremendously. Even Dolan made an appearance. Loved it!!!! Can’t wait for Chaz and Nick bc they need their own vengeance to be served.

I must warn you though. This is your typical dark read story. It's not rainbows and butterflies. There are definite triggers for some people. So go into it knowing this.
