When darkness overshadows their happiness, will they stand together or let it finally win.

The Grim Bastards are back. They’re older then the last time we saw them, but they’re still fiercely devoted to their MC and the ones they love.
We get two connected stories in one book.
The first up is Boz and Trix’s story Wretched Bastard. Trix lost her mom to breast cancer when she was young. She hated growing up, falling in love, getting married and having kids without her mom.
Trix does breast exams on herself regularly. When she feels something she heads to the Dr and gets the news she never wanted.
Boz’s whole world is his wife, kids and MC. When Trix tells him what she found out at the Dr his world stops. Boz will do anything to make sure Trix has whatever medical treatment she needs.
Boz is lucky he’s got the brothers he’s got. They all have his and Trix’s back. Unfortunately, money only goes so far. The men of The Grim Bastards must figure something out before they get stuck doing a job that could end dangerously.
The second up is Scorned Bastard and that’s Brew and Addy’s story. These two are still so in love and loyal to each other, their family and the MC.
Brew receives word that his father passed away and he must be there when the will is read. Brew wants nothing more to do with his family. They sent him to prison after he went after the guy who attacked his sister.
But, Brew and Addy go and his mom, sister and her husband are still monsters. Then, he meets his nephew and when Addy looks at him she sees a younger version of her husband.
When Brew’s fathers will is read everybody in the room is completely and utterly shocked. There’s only one good thing Brew and Addy think of that can come out of this other then gaining a nephew.
These couples are amazing together. I was so glad to get a glimpse back in their lives as small as it was. I’m looking forward to the next few couples to pop back up on my kindle.
