Synopsis
Ash is a prison guard, she's tough, she's strong and she never backs away from a fight. She takes her job seriously, she takes her training seriously, and everything in her life goes as planned.

Ok, well, to say I am a HUGE fan of Bella Jewel would be the understatement of the century. I have been following her work since day one and I have yet to be disappointed in anything I have read by her. Precarious is no exception to this. Being that it is the 3rd MC series Bella has written I was a little nervous that it could end up being a bit repetitive of the past two series she has written (even though one is not finished yet). Well, I should have known better than to have any sort of doubts when it came to Bella's stories. There was NOTHING repetitive about this book in comparison to her other MC books. Precarious took a completely different approach to the MC romance genre, and my mind was completely blown.
The story is about a girl named Ash who is a prison guard. She is seriously one kick ass female character with a take no crap from anyone attitude yet she doesn't try to abuse her power. She can take a man twice her size down in seconds, and yet tries to be pleasant to all the men who are behind bars. She does not try to be a jerk and make them feel like a piece of shit like many guards would do. It is in this prison where she works where she meets Beau (Krypt)… VP of the Joker's Wrath MC, who has just been brought in for murder. Beau is angry, full of fire, and not about to go down without swinging. After a handful of attempts at getting Beau to talk to her, Ash finally makes progress. But what she learns is abut to change her life forever.
When Beau is said to have attacked another guard, and fellow prisoner, it is decided that he will be transferred to a different, high security prison. When Ash is sent to be one of the escorts on this transfer, she ends up stuck in the middle of an all out war. This is where the story gets majorly INTENSE! I could not put this book down and the anxiety it gave me was at an all time high. The storyline was unique and fun to read. Beau was HOT. Like melt your panties hot, and I was left aching for more.
As the plot thickened, I found myself being drawn in more and more, and the ending had a WTF moment. Not a WTF did I just read, but a WTF how could it end like this!?!? Seriously, talk about a cliffy. I'm so happy book 2 will be releasing soon because this ending is eating away at me. I. NEED. TO. KNOW. WHAT. HAPPENS! If you have not yet read the book, please do yourself a favor and get it now!
