I knew when I read Knoxed Up I wanted Aubrey’s HEA and more men from Beech Grove.
Aubrey fell in love with her boss and when she found out he was lying about breaking up with his girlfriend and taking the next step with her she knew she had to quit her job.
Aubrey had been living off her savings account. Now that account is almost empty. Knox her best friends husband calls a favor and gets her an interview with his friend.
Aubrey’s instantly pissed when she meets him bc he’s amazingly beautifully handsome. But, she’d be stupid to go down the same road twice. Luckily for her it’s obvious he hates her so she’s shocked he hires her instantly. After working there for a bit if she wasn’t desperate for a job she’d def quit.
Logan sees a gorgeous women in the vestibule of his office building. If he didn’t promise his friend Knox to interview his friend he’d of ran out to her. Imagine his surprise when that same friend walks into his office for that interview and that pisses him off. Logan refuses to put his business in jeopardy by crossing lines with her, his new assistant.
Logan has eyes on Aubrey 24/7 when she’s at work. She’s the best damn assistant he’s ever had but being around her is painful to the body parts in his pants.
Knox calls to invite Logan to him and Lena’s Halloween party and he also lets Logan know that Aubrey thinks he hates her. Logan plans on going to that party and proving her wrong. Then, he sees her with another guy he looses it. One thing leads to another and it ends in them in the spare bedroom with nothing on except Logan’s Batman mask. When he admits who he is to Aubrey it goes terribly wrong.
Logan refuses to let her quit and leave his life. He’ll do anything to win her back as his assistant and as his women. Logan won’t take no for an answer.
I read this in one sitting while enjoying myself outside in the sun. This is the 4th book in this series. I loved the characters. But, for whatever the reason I couldn’t connect to these two as much as the first three characters. Even saying that I did like the story.
Gotta admit though my favorite part of this book. In Burning Bridges I INSTANTLY fell for Maverick’s best friend/roommate Gabe Blanco and have been stalking Mayra for more of him lol. Well, he showed up a few times and omg he was a hot mess and I need to know wtf happened to my man!!! I’m stoked to see he’s the next Beech Grove man we’re getting.
