Oh my goodness!! Did that really happen? I can't believe I just read this!! Oh let me say these questions aren't bad. If you haven't read Lincoln Hospital then STOP reading this and go buy it.. Now!! I can not tell you much in my review Bc this is the type of book where I'd be livid if somebody ruined the story for me. I mean I'd pull a Dr. Cain O'Reilly on that bitch!
Let me try to see if I can do this. Dr. Cain O'Reilly is the best cardiovascular surgeon. People come from other states just for him to fix them. Cain is the best and he knows it and isn't afraid to let you know. He has a very dark heart and soul. After loosing his wife in a cruel way and getting no justice for her, Cain lost the good part of himself.
Cain doesn't trust many people. Cain has a secret. On the 23rd day of every month Cain goes hunting. He hunts the people who've gotten away with crimes. He has a select few colleges he can trust and bring into his OR while he rids these scumbags of the earth once and for all.
He was doing just fine. Then, two things happened. There's a mole and the press has been talking. The biggest thing to enter his life. Dr. Athena Payne. Athena is an intern and has gotten under Cain's skin and in a good way. What started off as a fun time quickly turned into something much more. Neither of them were expecting it. But, welcomed it anyway. When Cain decides to let Athena in on his deadly secret he wasn't expecting the response he got.
Even if Athena isn't 100% she could take away somebody's life when she's supposed to be saving them. She gets when Cain does it and supports him. With Cain by her side she knows she can do anything. Athena has fallen in love with Cain and knows he loves her even if he can't say it. She knows he'd never hurt her.
OMG!! I honestly don't get it. I mean I know I'm not the only one who stalks Cassia on social media. I mean I follow her on social media. Yes, I follow her. I've seen her pictures and watched her video's. How can somebody who's beautiful and has an adorable accent like her... Have....Be... Come up with such evil stuff. Every book of hers I have read. And, like all the previous ones before this I finished between 3-5am. I finished them and everyone I sat straight up yelling "OMG! WTF! SERIOUSLY?!" This was no different. Except by the middle of the second to last chapter my heart was racing and I was hot. The last 3-5 sentences I was legit yelling!! I want inside of Cassia's mind even just for a few minutes. She's legit my favorite dark romance author. She blindsides me every book. You'd think I'd be ready for it. Nope! She gets me every time LOL. Cassia is that good. I can't wait for her next book.
