THE BAD BOY: I’m Johnny. An ex-con with a bad attitude and a controlling demeanor that somehow made the women flock to my bed but never my heart. It was unavailable for possession.
THE TEMPTATION: She was just supposed to be a two day hookup. But one taste of her and I knew I was in danger of never getting enough. She has her own demons to contend with, and dealing with my own was hard enough. I won’t allow temptation to take control of me.
THE SENTENCE: I'd given myself a life sentence a long time ago, and she made me want things I wouldn't allow myself to have. Giving into it just might destroy us both.
✯✯5 Healing Stars!!!✯✯
Finally! I been waiting for Johnny's story since I finished Back To The Drawing Board. When I finished that book and this book I'm still sticking to what I said in my review of Back To The Drawing Board that and Sentenced should be a part of the Twisted series.
We meet Johnny in Back To The Drawing Board. He hasn't had an easy life. When his parents kicked him out he got mixed up with the wrong group of friends. When he tried to get out they use his sister against him. Johnny went to jail to protect her. The only person in the world that Johnny's ever loved and cared about is his sister Julia and now her husband Carter. After getting a redo in his life Johnny can't let go and move on. Between the flashbacks of before and during his jail time. Johnny's a mess. Panic and anxiety attacks. He loved once and lost it. Johnny use to have a passion for playing music.
Johnny's been outta prison for 2yrs and still struggling. He decides to finally take his sister up on visiting them in Florida. He gets a job at a local bar. It keeps him busy and keeps him close to music. Just because he can't/won't play anymore doesn't mean he doesn't miss it. When Jaded Regret comes to play Johnny couldn't be happier. Johnny has a thing for the lead singers. Johnny doesn't do dating and one time is just enough. Johnny has his eyes set on Bex.
Bex can spot Johnny coming from a mile away. Bex hasn't had the easiest life either. Having been in a bunch of foster homes until running away. Her only friends are her band mates. And, the word friend is pushing it. Bex is not an easy person to get along with. She refuses to get close to anyone. Bex is not afraid to tell you to jump off a cliff. Things are starting to look up for her and the band. They're getting ready to go on a world tour with her favorite band. Bex will not let a fast sexy smooth talker like Johnny get in the way. No matter how bad she wants him.
Both Johnny and Bex have had a lot of terrible twisted things happen in their pasts. They don't believe they deserve to be happy. Or have a happily ever after. But, after meeting each other something starts to change. They start to open up and tell each other things that they've never told anybody before. These 2 are hot hot hot together!!
Even though this isn't your typical ugly cry by this author. There is still so much emotions running thru this book. Bex and Johnny couldn't see how much they truly deserved that happily ever after. But, everybody else in their lives could. When you decide to open this book make sure you don't have plans for the next few hours. Because Bex and Johnny will make everything else fade away. Every book by L.L. Collins gets better and better. I can not wait for her next book.

Excerpt
“I’m going to have her before they leave,” I said presumptuously.
I felt Cal looking at me. “Oh, boy.”
“What?”
“You haven’t read much about her, have you?”
That caught my attention. “What does that mean? Is she a lesbian or something?” That would abso-fucking-lutely kill me.
He cackled. “No, bro. She’s a ball buster, man. No one gives that woman shit. She has quite a reputation. She’s respected as hell, but no one crosses her.”
I scoffed. “We’ll see about that.” After all, she was a hot woman. She had to be used to being hit on. And she’d want to be hit on by me. Plus, I didn’t want anything from her other than her body. The nice part was, she was traveling after this. Maybe she’d end up in the Denver area or back here in Florida, and we could hook up again.
Cal whistled. “I want to be around when she cuts off your balls and shoves them in your mouth.”
I rolled my eyes. “She can’t be that bad. Look at her. She’s probably a hundred and twenty pounds soaking wet.”
“Don’t say I didn’t warn you,” Cal said. “I’m going to grab some more beer from the back.”
“Need help?” I didn’t say it convincingly, and he knew it.
“Nope. You stay here and daydream. That’s about all you’re going to get.”
“You watch and see,” I said. “She’ll come to me.”
