I been waiting for what feels like forever to read this book. I first read Nashoda when she wrote Scars of The Wraiths series. I also have a few of her Tear Asunder books on  my kindle. Which now I must read.

Georgie lost her brother when she was 16 and she's never been the same. When Deck her brothers best friend told her she lost it. That day the good, organized Georgie died. That day Deck left and didn't show his face for 2 yrs. That itself killed her because Georgie loved Deck. Georgie was able to find her own way to release her anger, bitterness and deal with the death of her brother. She did it thru Kai.

Deck feels responsible for the death of Connor. Deck takes his job of protecting his men very seriously. He made a promise to Conner to protect Georgie and to not touch her. He wanted her to be with somebody better then they are. For 10 yrs Deck did it. 

When Deck returned after being gone for 2 yrs Georgie wasn't the same Georgie as he's known and loved. She was different. Georgie was getting into all sorts of trouble and her drinking was getting a little too much. Deck had eyes on her 24/7. Georgie totally pushes all his buttons. She's always saying smart ass, rude and sexual comments to Deck. He's not afraid to throw her over his shoulder and haul her away. Except his willpower is weakening. Deck wants his Georgie back. Everybody around them knows they're in love with each other. They are hiding so much from each other it's unreal. 

When Deck finally mans up and insists Georgie is done with this downward spiral everything explodes. They end up spilling their guts and hearts and man was it hot hot!!

Deck and Georgie are perfect together. Deck is an alpha man, strict, a leader, no nonsense kinda guy. Who's deadly. Georgie is loud, flirty and not afraid to speak whats on her mind. She's also scarred and broken on the inside. She thinks she's hiding it. But, Deck and Georgie can't hide anything from each other. 

As much as I liked this story. I didn't read the Tear Asunder series so I did feel lost for like 1/2 the book. I did relate to the characters. But, there were times I felt like I was missing something. I wish I understood Deck/Kia relationship more as well as Georgie/Kai's. Like how and why did Georgie get that nickname. Other then that I liked it and am dying for Kai story!!
