Synopsis
Some people are born with a silver spoon in their mouths and lady luck tucked into their back pocket. Then there’s people like me, who live to survive. Survive loss. Survive loneliness. Survive the black tar that swallows you whole, stealing everything and anything that could resemble a piece of happiness. They try and fail, try again and fail even harder. Starting life’s never ending cycle of wash, rinse, and repeat.
That’s me. Or it was. Ten years I wandered through life. Through ten towns. Through ten men. Then, I didn’t anymore. A hellacious storm came and ripped everything away, leaving me stripped bare for the most beautiful man. A man part of the Corrupt Chaos Motorcycle club, who not only saved my life but rescued my soul. Or so it may seem from the outside. On the inside, it’s not that simple. Life never is.
It’s dirty.
It’s ugly.
And it’s painstakingly relentless.
I’m Magdalene Murdock and this is my story.
Warning: Contains shameless adult sexual content, an arseload of profanity, and whatever the hell else that makes it unsuitable for folks under the age of 18.

✯✯5 Beautiful Stars!!!✯✯
Bink has done it to me AGAIN!! I fell in love with her and B in her MC Chronicles and was super excited when I found out she was writing something completely new. Now she has given me Magdalene AKA Mags and Lachlan. I really hate to say this. But, B move over there's a new guy in town. And, his name is Lachlan.
For the past 10yrs Magdalene has been going from one place to another. Her mother is a piece of garbage. Mags grew up living with her grandma. In a matter of months she lost the love of her life, her fiance after he dies, then her grandma passes away and then her mother comes and takes everything away from her. Mags is left with her prize possessions, her car and her plants.
Since then she's been kinda lost. She'll go from place to place and guy to guy. She gets jobs doing her favorite thing, fixing cars. After breaking up with the latest jerk she's headed to New York. When she pulls over at a gas station hoping to get gas and ride out the storm her plans don't go the way she planned.
When the storm crashes through the gas station, Magdalene protects the store owner. Next thing she knows she's waking up in the hospital with multiple broken bones and she can not speak. There's also something else she has that she didn't have before. A huge man by the name Lachlan and his daughter Bridgette.
Lachlan is the firefighter who pulled her out of the gas station. He saved her live. Literally! His finger in her neck saved her live He wasn't the same since. Lachlan isn't just a firefighter. He's in the Corrupt Chaos MC, a Veteran, he's in a loveless miserable abusive marriage oh and I almost forgot and he's 100% Scottish. His accent is beautiful. Lachlan is a beautiful man it's too bad not many people get to see the real Lachlan.
Being that Magdalene saved one of the MC's own they don't take that lightly. At all! Lachlan moves her in with him, his daughter and miserable wife. Bridgette takes care of Mags and Lachlan helps as well. Magdalene doesn't know how to take Lachlan. For the most time he's quiet and very scary. He's always yelling and telling people what to do. But, then he'll do something or say something to Mags or his daughter Bridgette that melts her heart little by little.
The more time these two spend together the more their emotions and feelings are getting confused. Both Magdalene and Lachan are broken and have had hard lonely lives. They don't realize how alike they really are. I believe Lachlan is more broken then Magdalene. The more time they spend together they slowly start to open up and heal and Mags gets something she's always wanted. Friends and a family.
If you haven't read any of Bink's books then you are seriously missing out. I'm in love with her writing. The way she writes I feel like I'm either talking to one of my girls or reading a text message from them. I love how she makes you connect with every single character. You'll either love them or hate them. But, either way you'll be connected to them all. The way she wrote Lachlan's story had me in tears. He's such a really big scary man. But, he's got a heart of gold and never got the chance to how the real him. This is just the book you need to pick up and read. Send you kids to grandma's and you husband out with the boys. Because, you won't want to put this down!
