 EXCERPT #1

Jason speeds toward me, his messy blond hair falling over his eyes, his long arms flailing as he attempts to control the books slipping out of his backpack. He manages to catch two of them before they hit the ground. “I’ve got to meet with Professor Hallsworth about my Linguistics exam and then I’m gonna go for breakfast. Wanna come?”
The thought of pancakes makes my mouth water, but my Econ paper calls. “I can’t. I’ve got a paper due and I need to head to the library to study.”
“Sounds like a blast. Alright, well, maybe we can play some hoops after …” Jason stops dead in his tracks. “Oh. My. God.”
I look up to see Olivia Winkler sauntering in our direction, all long legs and tight ass with tits that could make almost anyone drop to their knees.
Been there, done that.
His mouth hangs open as she shoulders by me.
“Hey, Ash,” she coos.
His eyes widen, making him look like a cartoon character as he whips his head around to follow her movement. “Holy hell, Ash. Can I be you for just one day? Lord, just give me one day.”
I shake my head on a laugh. “Yeah, she’s hot as hell, but when she moaned it was like a gerbil being squeezed within an inch of its life.”
Jason slaps my arm and snorts. “Bro, for some of that, she can freaking squeal like a pig for all I care.”
“You, my friend, are a pig,” I mock.

EXCERPT #2
My feet continue to trail a path across the dewy grass, the cool breeze hitting my face as I make my way to the brick building housing the campus library. I pull off my aviator sunglasses and hook them over the ridge of my t-shirt, exhaling a groan of silent protest. Today’s just another day of going through the motions. My mind runs through the exams I need to study for and the work I need to get done around the house when I push through the double glass doors of the library and see … her.
She looks just like an angel.
The sight of her makes my dick hard. An involuntary shudder courses through me, my pulse thrashes against my neck, and my heart beats vigorously inside my chest. Soft waves of chestnut curls dance over her shoulder, her skin is so flawless it’s reminiscent of swirled cream, and her perfectly-shaped lips, lips the exact color of raspberries, beckon to me. Her curves are framed by a blue and white floral dress, her sweet face consumed by a pair of large, black-rimmed glasses. Wait, that’s odd. It doesn’t fit the rest of the picture.
I continue to watch her as she checks books out for students yet, still doesn’t look up. I shuffle my feet along the dark brown rug and wait for her eyes to come to me but I get nothing in response.
Adding a sharp cough to the shuffle ought to do it. Hmph.
She continues to look down at her books, completely disinterested. Highly unusual.
I’m not liking it and I intend on changing it. A challenge … yeah, I’m up for it. Thinking fast, I swipe a book off the shelf and toss it on the counter in hopes I can meet her eyes. She moves her painted fingers toward my book and flips it over. A laugh tickles her throat as her head bobs from side to side. When I stare down at the counter it all makes sense. Pleasing Your Man: Everything You Don’t Want to Ask but Need to Know. Well, I guess I’ve got her attention now.

About the Author:
BethAuthorPicture-1

I am a wife, a mom, an author, and a lover of all things chocolate, well, anything sweet really. While stuffing chocolate in my face, I enjoy reading young adult and new adult novels furiously, and spending time with my husband and two adorable children who keep me on my peppermint pink painted toes. Those same children who inspire me to tell silly stories that cause hysterical giggles to tumble from their bellies. I love to laugh and love to have a good cry, especially after reading a novel that stretches my soul, one that makes me feel, and lingers in the corner of my heart. I’m a hopeless romantic and a happily ever after fanatic, and I love to write about LOVE. I began writing when I was in middle school, penning anything from short stories, to poetry, and then later moved on to write children’s books. I have now endeavored into New Adult and Contemporary Romance novels and am loving every minute of it. My first novel, Love Love, was released in May, 2013.

WOW!! That is how I'm starting this review with!!  I loved everything about this story from beginning to the end.

We meet Ash. He's a major player. He calls his women "the flavor of the month". After his dad died of cancer he forgoes his baseball scholarship. Goes to college near his house so he can be the man of the house to his Mom, his younger brother Colt  and sister Delilah. He takes care of everything for them. He really  doesn't know what he wants with life. But, he does know he doesn't want love.

That is until he walks into the library and sees Cara. The beautiful girl behind the counter who doesn't smile, won't look up & wears glasses  that are way too big for her face. And, they hide the most beautiful eyes he's ever seen in his life. He knows right at that moment that he needs to know her. Ash asks his sister about her. All he knows is she just moved here. She doesn't talk to anyone. He plans to change that.

Ash starts going to the library every morning trying to find a way to talk to her.  As they go to leave the library it's down pouring he puts his jacket over her head & runs her to her car. The next day he makes his move. He goes up to the counter & grabs the 1st book he can grab. Not realizing what he was picking up, he grabs a "How to please your man" book!! After he tells her it was for his sister. After a couple of laughs he asks her out. She says NO! This was where the book got cute. Ash lets Cara know he's going to ask her out everyday & she swears to say no everyday. Everyday Ash comes up with different ways to ask her out. Cara on the other hand. Came up with the funniest ways to say NO without even opening her mouth. It was hysterical!

After awhile Ash wears Cara down. They have their 1st date under the willow tree. Their date was awkward. To say the least. It's obvious that Cara is shy. But, why we really don't know yet.

The next day when Ash is in Poetry Class  the teacher announces a special guest today. Ash is beyond thrilled because it's Cara. After class Ash asks Cara to hang out again. He gets denied, unless its to be helped doing his poetry. He takes what he can get. She gives Ash a "Poetry For Dummies" Book. He then buys her a poetry book and leaves it for her at the library. Then, she really agrees to go on her 1st actual date with him.

They soon become inseparable. Ash and Cara are together every chance they get. Cara knows everything about Ash that there is to know. Ash on the other hand knows that Cara &  her sister moved after her parents died. And, that she wears big glasses that  hide her beautiful, but lost eyes.

Once Ash really lets love in & embraces it 100% his world comes crashes down around him. His brother Colt has a brain tumor and must get surgery the following week.  The only person who he needs or wants is Cara. Now, Ash must learn how to go from taking care of everyone to the one that needs to be taken care of.

Cara also finds the courage to tell Ash her secret. Which, I won't give away!! After they both love & trust each other completely. Something happens that can tear them apart forever!! They must fight with everything they have to not loose what they have.

This book was fantastic!! When I tell you I was smiling 1 minute. Then, crying the next. The intense feeling Ash & Cara had for each other was adorable. I think I loved that it was in Ash"s POV the most. It was a really nice change. I loved how he went from having his booty calls to being a 1 woman man!! You really must read this this book the 1st chance you get!

"Don't ever look down. Someone so beautiful should always be looking up.''

"I think about you all the time. I think about the way your eyes twinkle, the curve of your lips when you smile, and how absolutely incredible I feel when I'm with you."

"Cara, whatever you've been through, all those pieces of your life, broken or not, come together to make you who you are. I don't expect sunshine and roses...shit, I don't have that, either."

" I don't think I've ever told you this but you have the most amazing eyes I've ever seen. I can see everything in them...your spirit, your light, your heart, your soul...and it's a beautiful soul."

"I've felt like nothing for so long, Ash...You make me feel like I'm something...like I matter."
