✯REVIEW✯ 'Confused (Getting Inside of V, #2)' by Kate Lynne

Blurb
You didn't honestly think you could get rid of me just yet, did you?

New town, new faces and by far my biggest conquest yet. I will have him. There is no doubt in my mind.

Detective…Breccan…Grant…

His name rolls right off my tongue and drips deep down to my core.

Tall, dark and undeniably handsome.

Seducing is the name of the game, but he’s not falling for it…Yet!

Of course that doesn't deter me. You should know me better by now.

The only thing left to do is up the ante’. My cold, dead heart at the center of the prize table, up for grabs to my next victim.

Until it suddenly starts to beat again.

Don't panic, I know I'm not. Temporary malfunction, that's all! Nothing more, nothing less.

My heart must be confused. Simply. Fucking. Confused.

5 Stars!!!

Kate Lynne, you did it again!!! Another story about 'V' which Captured my attention from word 1, and I simply could not put it down! V is seriously twisted, but you learn that part of her is still human.... a part she, and everyone else, thought was long gone.

'Confused' continues the story of V, where you begin to see a slightly different side of her. Set in Miami, Florida, she finally meets the man who has been following her face to face instead of just observing him from a distance. Breccan is definitely not what I expected from the few glimpses of him in 'Used' (in a VERY good way), and as the book progressed I grew more and more attached to him, yet slightly confused as to what his actual motives were when it came to V. Something about him triggers a different response from V than usual, and she actually agrees to see him more than once which was pretty shocking after seeing what happens to anyone who spends a night with her. But in the end, what part of her will win... the darkness, or the sliver of light which Breccan brought out in her?

This book took a different turn than 'Used' did and explained quite a bit which was not yet made clear in the first book. A couple of twists and turns which I would never have guessed were coming. I loved the route this book took, and I really really hope the next one comes out soon because it def was a bit of a cliffhanger. Not a "OMG how could the author end it like that" but more of a NEED to know what happens next. I felt that as much as I LOVED 'Used' (it was just so completely different, twisted and effed up from anything I had read before), you were definitely able to connect to the characters better in this story.

Kate, I am officially addicted to your work, and I am in severe need of my next fix!
