I've been pretty lucky lately and have been reading a lot of really great books, but this book...this book surpasses them all! I fell in love with Carey's writing after reading Him, and she did not let me down this time either.
Aubrey and Adam are just sensational characters. Seeing how Aubrey was so loving and caring towards her Aunt and watching her fall apart after her Aunt passed away was just heartbreaking. I was crying within the first few pages. But then to watch her take this once in a lifetime around the world trip which was her Aunt Ally's last wish was just beautiful. Aubrey is such a strong character and it was amazing to watch her grow and heal throughout the book. I really liked Adam too. He really helped Aubrey heal and was always there for her to protect and care for her.
This is a really unbelievable book that I will absolutely recommend to anyone and everyone. I am so happy that I was given the chance to read it. And Carey Heywood is for sure one of my favorite authors and I would read anything that woman writes! :)
