HOLY CRAP! Twisted Together was amazing. Awesome. Phenomenal. Incredible. Spectacular. Completely Mind-blowing! The list can go on and on. Pepper Winters really knows how to end something with an extremely powerful BANG! I am truly in awe of the talent which Pepper has in creating a world that just sucks you right in.
My whole body is twitching from withdrawals already, and my mind simply cannot grasp the fact that there will be no more Q and Tess to look forward to. This was such a perfect ending to their explosive story. Action, suspense and mind blowing sexual chemistry, this is one story which will stay with you long after you reach it's final page.
After everything Tess had been through before Q saved her, she is not the same vibrant woman he fell in love with. Something inside of her has changed. She now fears pain instead of needing it. Instead of the strong willed woman he first met, she is now so willing to give up on things. The one thing she is not willing to give up on is her and Q's relationship. She would live through the fear and do all which she could to allow Q to inflict the pain on her which he so desperately needed to.
Tess knows that she is unable to give Q what he needs and so desperately wants to get that part of herself back, but even the mere thought of pain sends her into a downward spiral. Afraid of having Tess lock herself back inside her mental "tower" where she would never come out again, Q decides it's time to take drastic measures, and forces her to face her fears. It was time for Q to get his esclave back.
Right when it seems these two are finally going to get their happy ever after all hell breaks lose. With shocking and devastating twists and turns, you are left facing things you would never have expected to happen to these two characters. You see a new side to Q, one it seemed did not exist within him… and that is vulnerability and weakness. Who would have thought that the god which was Q was also just human. Human with a touch of dark angel in him. And Tess, I admire her character so much. She has been such a fighter, and it was absolutely remarkable to see Tess evolve from young and almost naive girl, to such a strong and beautiful woman. Both Q and Tess transformed and twisted and changed each other, but never let go of what their hearts truly lived for. Both of them found themselves, but were only able to because of the other.
Twisted together was a story which simultaneously broke my heart, and healed it. It was powerful and emotional. Pepper Winters took the intensity and darkness from Tears of Tess and allowed it to fully flow through into Twisted together, all while permitting the exact amount of light to break through and make the story of Q and Tess one of the most memorable love stories of all times. I am in complete and utter awe of Ms. Winter's ability to not only create a wondrous world with her words, but also her ability to drag you into the book and make you feel as if you yourself are a part of the story. Pepper truly is a master of her art, and is one author who's work should be introduced into everyones life.

I shook my head. I didn’t understand. All I understood was his voice had the power to make me come. The deep tenor vibrated through my heart, sending tiny orgasms exploding in my veins.
I needed to be touched. I needed to be kissed.

Launching upright, I splashed a wave over the tub. Q jerked back, but wasn’t fast enough. Wrapping my arms around his neck, I dragged him down toward me. His hand slipped on the rim, plunging his arms into the water, landing on either side of my body.
