✯BLOG TOUR✯ 'Star of Bethlehem' by Sarah Daltry

Blurb
Jack isn’t a rock star. He’s not the leader of a MC. He isn’t a billionaire. Lily’s not the daughter of a mob boss, or a stripper, or a virgin with a BDSM fascination. They’re just regular college kids, who somehow found each other in the middle of all the crap and chaos of growing up.

“With you, Jack, it was the first time I ever felt real. It was the first time anyone looked at me and saw substance. It was the first time I wanted to make someone see me.”

Jack and Lily have navigated his past, her desire to move on from her family’s demands of her, his depression, and her loneliness. Now, on New Year’s Eve, they have an entire year laid out ahead of them. First, though, Jack needs to meet Lily’s family, to be welcomed into her life. It’s intimidating, but with a sweater that is way too hot and his grandmother’s ugly car, he arrives at Lily’s gleaming house on a hill, ready to open himself up completely to her.

Inside the perfect, sparkling house, Lily waits for the boy she has come to love. But Lily’s house and family are a lot like her – shiny and pretty on the outside, with a sad emptiness on the interior. Lily wants to give Jack the one thing he has always dreamed of – family and love – but can she keep him from seeing how hollow a lot of the picture perfect life he fantasizes about really is?

This is a novella length work that follows Forget Me Not and Lily of the Valley.

Ariana's Review
5 stars!!!

'Star of Bethlehem' is a cute novella which I really loved reading. It was actually on the longer side for a novella which was nice (at least compared to ones I have read). The story takes place on New Years eve, shortly after 'Lily of the Valley' ends. It introduces you to Lily's family and gives you a look into what her life was like before Jack. I could not believe how great Jack did at dealing with all the events of the night! He really is such an awesome character, I don't ever want to let him go! Please Sarah, give me more Jack!!!

"I want you. Only you. That's all I could ever want, princess. You are far more than I could have ever imagined."

Lily's family is everything Jack never had... Lots of relatives, big dreams, fancy house, and lots of money. Before Lily met Jack, she was living her family's dream for her. She was the person they wanted her to be, dated the guy they wanted her to date. She was almost like an empty shell... void of her own hopes and dreams. When she met Jack, he opened her eyes to a whole new view on life. She realized that she would never be complete if she kept following the path she was on. With Jack, she is happy... she feels real for once in her life. But when her parents finally meet Jack, will her parents be able to accept him into their family, or will they too shun him like so many people have in the past? And will her mother be able to get off her damn high horse? Ugh that woman really and truly irritated the hell out of me and I wish I could have reached into the pages and smacked the living daylight out of her at times!

And, I know what you are thinking. A novella about New Years Eve, taking place at her parents house... there must not be any steamy sex scenes in this book. Well, if that is what you think, then you are seriously mistaken! These two seriously cannot keep their hands off each other at all! And I love every second of it. There was definitely the thrill and excitement of waiting to see if they would get caught which made it even HOTTER!

A cute story, Hot sex, and more Jack... what more could you possibly ask for? This is yet another story by Sarah Daltry that you MUST add to your TBR lists!

"I can't be anything without you," he says. "I love you, princess, but more, I need you desperately."
