✯Release Review✯International Player by Louise Bay

INTERNATIONAL PLAYER by Louise Bay Release Date: April 30th Genre: Standalone Contemporary Romance

AVAILABLE NOW!!

Blurb: Being labelled a player never stopped me from being successful with women. Until I met Truly Harbury.
Truly was the first girl who ever turned me down.
The first female friend I ever had.
And she might just be the first woman I ever fall in love with.
When an emergency means she needs my help running her family’s charity, I’m happy to introduce her to the glitz and glamour of the London business world—taking her to dinners, coaching her through speeches, zipping up the sexy evening gown I helped her pick out.
The more time we spend together, the more I want to convince her I’m not a man to avoid, that we’re not as unsuited as she believes.
She sees herself as the book-reading, science-loving introvert while I’m the dangerous, outgoing, charmer.
She thinks I love parties and people whereas she prefers pajamas and a takeaway.
What she doesn’t realize is that I like everything about her–the way her smile lights up a room, how her curves light up my imagination, and especially the way her lips taste when coated with tequila.
She’s the first woman I ever fell in love with. I just need to know if she could ever love me too.
*International Player is a complete standalone contemporary romance

✯✯5 Noah Filled Stars!!!✯✯

Louise Bay is amazing! Her stories always get to me. Ethan Scott has always had my top spot on Louise Bay’s men. I can’t believe I’m saying this but Ethan has just met his match with Noah.

Truly and her twin sister run their family’s charitable foundation. Truly is the behind the scenes sister. In charge of the numbers. She’s the nerdy one. Her sisters the face of their foundation.  She’s the one who goes to the dinners, galas and does the speeches. Truly’s more than fine with their arrangement.

Truly’s life revolves around work, books, Star Wars and spending time with her sister. Truly doesn’t realize her quiet, simple life about to explode. Her sister ends up having major complications with her pregnancy leaving her on bed rest for the next few months. Truly doesn’t have the slightest clue where to begin doing her sisters job.

Then, Noah steps in and offers to help Truly. Truly wants none of his help. Truly knows the kind of player Noah is. Which is why she shut him down two minutes into meeting him. They ended up becoming good friends. Until he moved to New York and they hadn’t spoke since. Truly doesn’t wanna fall for Noah again and than he leave. But, she does need his help, she’s hoping it doesn’t bite her in the end.

Noah sold his business and he’s got more money than he knows what to do with himself and nothing to do or spend his money on.

When his best friend suggests Noah help Truly until her sister is back his first instinct is no. Until he thinks about it. Noah knows he can be helpful and the latest fundraiser is for a cause close to his heart. It’s a win win for everyone so Noah jumps on it.

Noah wasn’t expecting things to go the way they went. He’d been friends with Truly and he can’t remember why or how the lost touch. He doesn’t know when he started seeing her more than just a friend. He’ll do anything to help her and that includes her seeing herself as the beautiful woman that he sees.

The more time these two spend together the more their feelings grow. Even when they cross that friends line to friends with benefits things don’t get easier. ESP bc Truly is so wishy-washy with her feelings and thoughts. Instead of talking to Noah she just breaks things off with him outta nowhere and he’s blindsided when he finally figures out his true feelings.

I dove into this story and couldn’t put it down. Truly and Noah were complete opposites. But, everyone knows the saying “opposites attract” and this works for Truly and Noah.  This is another must read from Louise Bay. There is a new guy I’d like to get my hands on his story lol.

Excerpt: In, two, three, out, two. Shit. I tried again. In, two, three, out, two, three. It wasn’t helping. My heart was hammering against my chest, my palms were sweaty, and images of hundreds and hundreds of faces staring at me flashed into my head.
I ignored the knock on my office door. I was too concerned about what was happening to me. Was it possible to have a heart attack at twenty-eight?
“Truly,” a familiar, male voice called.
I couldn’t look up. Couldn’t even open my eyes.
Warm hands covered my knees and body heat radiated in front of me.
“Are you okay? Take a breath.” What was Noah doing here?
I nodded, still counting my breath. As if he was familiar with the technique, he began counting along with me. “Out, two, three. In, two, three. Out, two, three.”
His voice was calming. The counting hadn’t worked when I’d done it alone, but hearing him counting too helped me settle into a rhythm.
Eventually, his hands slid from my knees, and I sat up and opened my eyes, right into his.
“Are you okay?” he asked, his brow
furrowed.
I was such an idiot. A mess. And this was why Noah and I had only ever been friends. He was used to seeing me in no makeup with a smear of kung pao chicken on my face. And now I was panicking about a meeting that he would think nothing of. Yes, Noah only ever saw me at my absolute worst.
“What are you doing here?” I asked. I didn’t want him to see me like this.
“Do you want some water?” He stood and poured me a glass of sparkling water from the bottle on my desk.
“Thanks.” I took a sip and sat back in my chair.
“I came to talk to you. Apologize if I seemed harsh last night. I’m sorry if I made this worse, Truly.”
I cleared my throat. “I’m fine. Just a little . . .” I watched as he slid into the chair opposite my desk, his long legs unfurling in front of him. “I just have a lot to do.”
He nodded, steepling his fingers. “And I’m here to help.”

✯Release Review✯All We Are (The Ex-Factor #2) by Elisabeth Grace & Michelle Lynn

Coming face-to-face with my past changes EVERYTHING.

I’m at the top of my game. All my struggles have finally paid off. Life should be great.

I mean, life is great.

Except for the fact that I can’t stop thinking of her. The woman who mangled my heart into a bloody pulp and never looked back.

If I could free myself of our shared memories, my future would be golden.

There’s only one way to move on—I have to confront the past, so I can move into the next chapter of my life in peace. Which means confronting her for the final time.

I had no idea that knocking on her door that day would turn my life upside down.

           ✯✯5 Pinky Promise Filled Stars!!!✯✯

Finally!!! I’d be rooting for Lilah & jimmy and just when I thought they’d gotten it worked out a misunderstanding tore them apart.  Lilah s broken and Jimmy’s devastated. I was hoping and praying these two finally got their HEA.

Six years have past since Lilah broke Jimmy’s heart and trust for the last time. Ever since then Jimmy has become a household name. He can pick and choose what movie he does and doesn’t wanna do. He’s at a part in his life where all the pieces should be falling into place.

Except there’s one piece of his life puzzle that doesn’t fit properly. It’s gotten wet and it won’t go in properly. That piece belongs to Lilah. He knows finding her can open up his heart and mind and totally unravel him. But, jimmy knows if he doesn’t know exactly why she broke that pinky promise he’ll never be 100% over her to move on.

But when Jimmy knocked on Lilah’s door he wasn’t prepared for the answers, questions and wtf’s that were waiting for him. What jimmy did know was his life was never gong to be the same.

When Jimmy broke up with Lilah she planned on leaving Cali and the modeling, acting world and never looked back. She thought of jimmy everyday but knew she couldn’t contact him. With her lifestyle Lilah knew Jimmy would take away everything she loved the most.

Lilah turned her life completely around. She wasn’t the same girl as she was six years ago and Lilah would do anything to keep it that way.

But, Lilah owes Jimmy answers and so much more.  She’ll give him the answers and do right by him. Lilah just needs Jimmy to listen to her, trust her and most importantly forgive her and not take away everything that means the most to her bc she’ll never survive.

Omg!!!! This story was amazing. Six years changed both Jimmy & Lilah.  Especially Lilah!!! These two were finally the people they always wanted to be. At the end of the tunnel they saw the same thing. Their HEA was an arms length away. To bad there was an obstacle in the road. They had decisions to make that could make or break them.

You can’t read this first. Read All We Were first and than read this one. It was beautifully written. These two were mad for each other. Def go get it now.  Lilah and Jimmy won’t disappoint you.

Will I ever stop hurting the one person who’s never hurt me?

I’ve done things I can never undo.

No matter how much I wish I could, sometimes the wounds I inflict are too deep, too catastrophic, too septic to heal.

As I look into the eyes of the only man I’ve ever loved I know I’ve gone too far. I’ve finally crossed the line.

Even if he knew my reason for doing this, he’d never forgive me.

He always puts my needs before his own.

Now it’s my turn to protect him.

None of that matters though because the betrayal and disgust in his eyes comes from deep within his soul. There’s no coming back from this.

He will forever be tormented by what he’s seen, and he will never forgive me.

The last fragment of my heart to hold out hope that we’d share a future, withers and dies.
