A sensuous, captivating contemporary stand-alone romance in the Falling Stars series from NYT & USA Today Bestselling Author, A.L. Jackson . . .

✯✯5 Richard & Violet Filled Stars!!!✯✯

Al Jackson has done it to me again!! I’ve been waiting for Richard Ramsey’s story. I have wanted to know what made him so hard, cold and angry all the time.

Violet is struggling to survive. She’s working hard. Her mom is sick and doesn’t have much time left.  She’s raising Daisy whose full of life. Her mom asked her to look for her sister who hasn’t been seen since she dropped Daisy off few days after being born.

If that wasn’t enough to bring her down her best friend Emily is back in town with her fiancĂ© Royce to get married. Emily’s the sister of Richard who just happens to be the love of  Violet’s life. She fell for him the first night and even with him traveling with his band they’d made it work. Until she gets a letter from him saying he’s not in love with her anymore.

Violet’s angry, bitter and doesn’t trust easily. Even with all her feelings she knows deep down she still loves Richard. She refuses to fall again for him.

Richard has been in his own living nightmare for the last six years. Richard has only loved Violet and even though they haven’t seen each other for six years, he’s never looked at another women except give an autograph or a picture but anything else it’s a hard no. Violet has his heart and that’ll never change.

Richard has only strayed away to keep Violet safe. Things happened six years ago that happened that Richard wished he could change. Then, when his brother-in-law Royce showed up to takedown his father he realized things went deeper then he thought.

Whenever Richard returns home he dips in and out so he doesn’t see anybody. But, with Emily and Royce’s wedding coming up he’s face-to-face with Violet. It definitely doesn’t go how he thought their reunion would go.

Richard  realizes he’s wasted so much time being away from the one person he loves more then the air he breathes. The only person who knows everything the secrets, his despair is Royce. They know they’re so close to the finish line but Richard knows it’s not going to be easy.

There’s danger  Richard’s Ben trying to keep to himself. Now they’ve targeted  Violet and he won’t let anybody hurt his family. Richard can’t and won’t stay away from Violet anymore. Richard knows that when Violet finds out the secret he’s been hiding Richard is afraid Violet will never speak to him again.

Wow wow wow!!! I legit couldn’t put this book down until I finished and then when I finished I wanted to cry bc I finished lol.

I honestly love the way A. L. Jackson writes. One of my favorite things is the way she’ll write chapters from the characters past that have impacted them to act/feel things in their lives now or their relationship in the earlier times. She always writes them in such a way that I can see why they’re the way they are. And, every book she’ll introduce us to a new kid and I’m falling in love with them. Daisy totally had me lol and smiling. She reminded me of Frankie Leigh, who I absolutely adored!!!

As much as I loved these two, their story the end felt rushed at some parts.  Somethings I wished would’ve been not so rushed. This story with these characters are too good to feel rushed.

I was 110% missing Leif in this book I’m not gunna lie. Royce was a good part of this story and it was nice seeing a different side of him and Richard’s relationship. Rhys was in it more and I’m even more excited about his HEA.

I’m totally hoping that A. L gives Royce’s band A Riot of Roses a spin-off. Yes, I’m putting that into the universe lol.

A. L. Jackson writes so well that when there was a scene of Carolina George, A Riot of Roses and Sunder al took the stage together for one big collaboration and I was screaming!!! What I wouldn’t do to buy that concert ticket. I wish they were real lol.

"This book is one of those stories that stays with you, one that you can't stop playing over in your mind, one that leaves you with the biggest book hangover and one that will be on your Top Reads List just as it is on mine!”

-Melissa, Book Addict Fanatic

But will loving her destroy them all . . .

✯✯5 Drummer Boy Filled Stars!!!✯✯

Omg finally!!! I’ve been anxiously waiting for A. L. Jackson’s next release and the waits finally over.

This is a stand-alone and the start of her next new Falling Stars Series. I’m stoked bc in Kiss The Stars the guys and gals of Sunder are back since Leif is helping them out on the drums. In The Bleeding Stars Series we heard of the country band Carolina George and I’d been hoping we got more of them and that day has finally come. Whoop whoop!!

Leif Godwin is just trying to get thru his day without breaking. Waiting patiently until he can get his revenge onto those who took away what he loved and cared for most in his life.

Music ran thru Leif’s veins.  It’s why he joined Carolina George. They’re made for stardom and he wants to help out anyway he can. Running into Lyrik from the band Sunder wasn’t the plan and neither was meeting an angel.

Leif agreed to help out Lyrik and the others from Sunder. Step in playing the drums while they record their album. It’s only for two months and he’ll walk away with decent money.

Leif thought he could keep his head down long enough to get thru it. Until in walked Lyrik’s baby sister, Mia West and her two children along with their extended Sunder family and Leif wasn’t sure he’d make it the entire summer.

Mia hasn’t had things come easily. The birth of her daughter saved her and then her son completed her. She tries coparenting the best as possible.

One night at close of business at her art gallery her and her best friend/business partner are held at gunpoint. Her best friend is killed and the cops have no idea who’s behind it.

Mia and her kids go to stay with her older brother Lyrik, his wife Tamar and their two kids. Not that her big brother was giving her a choice otherwise LMAO!!

Mia’s mind has been on the beautiful, dangerous man she met in the attic at her brothers house. Mia was shocked to learn he’s the infamous drummer her brother was saying that was coming to help them on their album.

Mia’s not sure how she’s supposed to go thru the summer with him living in the guesthouse. Their chemistry is instant and super explosive and yet Leif pushes her away whenever they get too close. If only that was her only problem. There was still somebody after Mia.

Leif wanted to leave almost the minute he showed up. When he finds out somebody could still be after Mia he knows instantly he can’t leave her. Between Leif and Lyrik they vow four eyes is better then two. He’s also worried that his baggage will be brought to their doorstep but he can’t leave Mia or her kids.

This was another nonstop read for me. Definitely lost sleep but I wouldn’t trade this book for sleep. It has everything from hot rockstars and funny, hot country singers, a love story and suspense. It’s got everything!!

Leif has bumped his way to the top of my book boyfriend list. I was heartbroken for him and what he went thru. That’s amazing man deserved a HEA that’s for sure.

Mia was amazing as well!!! With her brother and his friends being famous musicians she knew what kind of lives they live and she swore she’d never get with a musician. But, all she needed was to find the right musician. Even though he tried pushing her away and was fighting his own demons, Mia never gave up on him or them.

Add in Lyrik, Tamar and the rest of their family it was an epic read!!! Let’s also saw Lyrik’s son Brandon and Penny, Mia’s daughter they stole my heart. Hopefully, we’ll get their stories when A. L. Jackson starts hearing their voices. **Wink wink**

I’m looking forward to the rest of the guys and lady of Carolina George. ESP Rhys bc he’s the one who spoke to me the loudest so far.

✯Release Review✯Broken Beats - An Illusion Series Novel by D. Kelly

We are thrilled to be bringing you the release of BROKEN BEATS by D. Kelly. Lovers of single dad romance won't want to miss this one - be sure to grab your copy today!

About BROKEN BEATS

Darren Single father Widower Retired Three things I never thought I’d be by thirty, yet all my daily reality. This is not the life I would have chosen, but it’s the hand I’ve been dealt. I love my daughter. I loved Belle. I’m not interested in more heartache. Relationships are a thing of the past. Until I meet her - She’s the awakening I desperately need, but one I’m not sure I deserve.
Haddie Everything happens for a reason. Time heals all wounds. You’re too young to give up on love. They say that, but they’re wrong. My world crumbled forever when my fiancĂ© died. Then I met him – He’s flawed in the same ways. Broken in the same places. Scared of the same things. He looks at me like I’m his salvation. And I want to be, but an open heart means risking a broken one.

✯✯5 Healing Stars!!!✯✯

Whoah!!!! Where in the world do I begin with this review?!?!?! I’ve been waiting for Darren’s story since the beginning of Just An Illusion. All through Mel and Sawyer’s POV I’d been biting my nails to get to Darren. I fully admit the wait was worth it.

Being the drummer for the band Bastards and Dangerous Darren never had to work hard for a  girl. When Mel and Belle walked into him and his brothers lives Darren’s life was never going to be the same.

His connection with Belle was instant and the next minute they conceived Cadence. Darren’s life was complete with his two girls. Than four months after his daughter arrived he lost Belle and Darren didn’t know how to move on.

For years Darren lived in the dark. His only brightness was Cadence and he was OK with that. One night he’s playing pool and in walks in a beautiful girl. She didn’t even see him at first and then realized she didn’t even know who he was and that was a breathe of relief. After a Darren comment he learns she’s lost her fiancĂ© and trying to finally move on. For the first time since he lost Belle he realizes its time for him to move on. They agree to be grieving friends.  Darren knows in his gut everything in his life is about to change. He just has to figure out if he’s truly ready for it.

Haddie was ready for her HEA. One night changed her life forever. An accident took her fiancĂ© from her and left her with matching scars on both the outside and inside. Haddie let herself feel sorry herself for awhile now and it’s time for her to move on.

Haddie goes to the place that reminds her of her love the most.  The last thing Haddie was expecting was to be in the same place with Darren from Bastards and Dangerous, not that she knew who he was at first.

They hit it off quick. They understood exactly what the other one was feeling. What started as a friendship quickly turns into something more. Something either of them was expecting but were shockingly open for.

Darren understood she has her issues to work through. But, was always there to let her know how beautiful she was. Haddie knew and completely understood that Cadence was Darren’s first and main priority and she completely let him take the lead. Darren was completely open and honest with Haddie. Telling her things he’d not told his brothers and families yet.

Talk about the perfect story!! My heart had been breaking for Darren since the beginning and he deserved his HEA. Haddie totally was his perfect match.

I found myself laughing, smh and crying the whole book. I also wished these guys and gals were real bc I want in their lives. D. Kelly knocked this out of the park. Can’t wait for her next book.

✯Review✯Wild Collision(The Wild Series #1) (Us Series #4) by Micalea Smeltzer

Title: Wild Collision (Wild, #1)
Author: Micalea Smeltzer
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Release Day: November 23, 2018

Synopsis
He was a beautiful nightmare. Mia Hayes is comfortable with her life as it is. Boring is good. Boring is normal. Boring is safe. But the thing with boring is it makes temptation all the sweeter. She was a sweet dream. Hollis Wilder goes a hundred miles an hour after everything he wants. Fast is fun. Fast is crazy. Fast is dangerous. But the thing with fast is it keeps you from thinking before you act. Together they were the notes in their favorite song. When Mia and Hollis collide—literally—music’s new bad boy can’t help but notice the beautiful red-haired woman with soft curves. She calls to him like a siren, and since the word no isn’t in his vocabulary he’s determined to get what he wants. The problem is, one night won’t be enough, and the fact that Mia is his mentor’s daughter complicates things royally. Mia’s the one girl that’s off limits, but she might be the only one he wants for real.

✯✯5 Hollis Filled Stars!!!✯✯

Oh Micalea!!! I’m such a sucker for her books. ESP her rocker men. If you’ve read her Willow Creek Series be prepared. BC, rememberer bad boy Hayes.... He’s back. Hayes has opened his own production company. He’s found The Wild and has signed them first at his label. Hayes only has one major rule.... Stay away from his daughter Mia.

Mia is going to school, working at the sub shop and has started at her dads company.  Mia wants to work in the music business and loves learning from her dad.

When her dad signed The Wild she was happy for him. Then, she walked into her bedroom and walked into Hollis Wilder the lead singer. He’s one cocky SOB and she instantly hates him even though he makes her feel things she doesn’t want.

Mia never grew up in the spotlight with her dad and uncles being in the biggest rock band.  She got used in the past bc of who her dad was. Since then Mia has said she’d never date another musician. Hollis is making her decision hard to follow thru on.

Hollis’s dream was always for his and his best friends to make something of their music career. They’ve found a bit of fame and fans but never seem to make it big.

When Hayes from the rock band Willow Creek signs them they all know their lives are about to change. Hollis  and the guys will put in the hard work to make their album a hit and climb the ladder to the top.

Hollis wasn’t going to let anything get in his way. Until he came face to face with the fiery redhead. Then, his cockiness came out a little too much. Mia’s not like most girls. She grew up with her dad and uncles in the music business. She’d been hurt in the past and Hollis wants to prove to her not all musicians are the same. The biggest problem is if Hayes finds out about him and Mia they’ll loose their contract.

This was amazing!! It’s a new adult read. These two are hot..... sweaty hot!!! There was so many times I was legit lol.

Add in the other 3 guys from the band, Mia’s best friend Kira and of course Mia’s dad Hayes. There was a scene that happened that had me dying and I was like “OMG I’d die to get this in Haye’s POV” and Micalea must’ve known her Willow Creek fans would say it bc in a bonus epilogue was that scene from his POV and I was hysterical laughing all over.

Excerpt
He closes the distance between us swiftly, grabbing my face roughly between his hands. He kisses me quickly, desperately. It’s a bruising kind of kiss. One that leaves a path of flames in its wake. He lets me go and steps away. “I had to kiss you before I couldn’t for the rest of the evening,” he admits. I touch my lips where they still tingle from his. He flashes a cocky smile, pleased with himself for rendering me speechless. “I know I’m a good kisser, but I didn’t know it was possible to stun you into silence. I’m impressed with myself.” I snap out of my revelry. “I hope you go home and write about it in your diary.” “Oh, I will.” He smirks. “Is it pink and sparkly?” “Of course—I even hot glued my name in sequins on it and the first page is marked with Future Mr. Mia Hayes.”

✯Review✯Just an Illusion-Encore (The Illusion #5) by D. Kelly

We are thrilled to be bringing you the release of JUST AN ILLUSION - ENCORE by D. Kelly, the final book the Illusion series and the conclusion to Sawyer's story. Make sure to grab your copy today!

About JUST AN ILLUSION - ENCORE

Sawyer Weston has done the unthinkable—he’s fallen for his brother's girl. He’d never purposefully hurt Noah, but that’s exactly what’s going to happen if he can’t get her out of his system.
A stolen kiss between them finally brings Sawyer to his senses. No matter how much he wants her, Amelia has made her choice.
When tragedy strikes, Sawyer finds himself taking on more responsibility than he ever imagined. Can Sawyer remain the rock his family needs in their time of crisis? Or will he succumb to his deepest desires and fall in love with Amelia all over again?
Just an Illusion – Encore is the conclusion to Sawyer Weston’s story. Every thought, every feeling, are yours for the taking. Are you ready?

✯✯5 Beautiful Stars!!!✯✯

What an amazing conclusion to an amazing story!! While this might not be the end for the men of Bastards and Dangerous. But, it’s the end of Mel, Noah and Sawyer’s story.

This is the last part of Sawyer’s book. He’s been writing his POV down so one day Nate and Cadence will get his side of the story of their parents Noah and Belle and the story of him and Mel falling in love.

Even though this and the previous book are kinda retelling Mel’s story but it’s in Sawyer’s POV and there’s so much stuff we’ve never heard of and getting Sawyer’s POV on things like when Mel went to Belle and Noah’s grave that night.

And, getting Sawyer’s POV on his time with the guys is great. We get the story of when the guys took Nate on his first fishing trip.

There’s so many feelings in this book. Sawyer puts everything into his story. He wants Nate to really understand how much Sawyer truly loves him and Mel. The hole he has since he lost Noah is unbearable.

Sawyer loves Mel and yet he feels guilty that he’s still there with Mel and Nate and watching him grow when Noah isn’t. He’d switch places with Noah in a heartbeat if he could.

The guys are still very much around Sawyer and Mel. Sawyer’s relationships with Jordan and Darren are great. Then you have him and Eli and OMG they had me smiling and lol bc Sawyer A- can’t believe how much he likes Eli and continues hanging out with him and B- he can see the evil glare on Noah’s face and it’s hysterical to me.

But, Sawyer and Darren really got to me. These two understood each other without the other one even saying a word. They both lost Belle and Noah. They’re living together keeping their eyes on Mel and raising Nate and Cadence. When they watched Noah’s video it broke me.

And, that epilogue was everything!! It had me no joke it left me a wreck and in the best way possible.

Needless to say this books amazing!!! Even though Sawyer, Nate and Mel’s story is ending they’re def not going anywhere bc the other guys from this rock band are getting ready to have their stories told. I can’t wait!!!

✯Release Review✯Player by Staci Hart

cover-nowavailable
I should have known it was only a game.
I should have known he was too good to be true.
He’s nothing but a player...

Player, an all-new sexy, standalone romantic comedy from Staci Hart, is available NOW!

player-wrap
He’s a player.
He plays the bass with expert fingers. He plays women with intoxicating charm. And he’ll play me with the ease of a virtuoso.

Who better to teach me to play than the master himself?

I’m his model student, front row, pencil sharp. Pick up lines? I’ve got them. Free drinks? By the dozen. Kissing? Let me grab my chapstick.

But the most valuable lesson I’ve learned is that there’s so much I don’t know. Like why his touch sets off a chain reaction straight to my nethers. Or how I’m certain each kiss is the best I’ll ever have, until the moment his lips take mine again.

There’s so much I don’t know.
Like the fact that I’m only a bet.
But we are what we are. He’s a player, through and through.

And I’m the fool who fell in love with him.

✯✯5 Player Filled Stars!!!✯✯

Staci Hart is one of my favorite go to authors! I don’t have to read the blurb to her new books before I automatically add to my TBR list.

Piece of Work was the fist book for her next set of friends to get their stories told. These ladies are all naturally beautiful, quiet, low key, don’t dress fancy or have much or any past relationship/interactions with men. But, a waitress friend of them told them they must buy a red lipstick. It’ll change things. They did and started RLC which equals out to the red lipstick coalition. It totally worked wonders with Rin. Now, it’s Val’s turn.

Val hasn’t had many boyfriends. First off all her siblings are brothers. And, yes they’re all VERY protective of their sister. Second, she’s not model size and she developed breasts earlier then most her classmates and they were cruel to her. Bc of that she’s had few boyfriends.

Val’s a very talented trumpet player. She’s got an amazing job working for an orchestra on a broadway play. There’s a bass player, Sam that Val has a seriously huge crush on. Whenever he’s near her Val’s lucky if she makes 2-4 words out that make any sense or she’s knocking something over or tripping and falling.

When Val accidentally empties her trumpet spit all over him she’s embarrassed. They start talking and he invites her and her friends to a swing club he plays at with his band. Her friends talk her into getting dressed up, putting on her red lipstick that’s doing nothing and collecting dust and going. Val has the best time watching Sam and his band rock out and dancing.

When her and Sam get to talking she explains why she’s single and lack of picking up guys. Sam offers to tutor Val in getting more comfortable with herself and men and getting her out there to start dating. Val wishes Sam wanted her but she’ll take him anyway she can get him.

Sam was attracted to Val the instant he saw her. She’s not his typical go-to girl but the total opposite. He can tell Val’s special. Sam doesn’t have a problem getting women into his bed. He lets them know he doesn’t date and won’t spend more then one night with them. But, Sam does have one rule. Sam won’t sleep with a women if he works with them. He won’t crap where he eat. It’s why he’s stayed away from Val.

Sam’s pretty much a player and he’s OK with that. His best friend Ian is no better. They’ve always gotten in trouble together. They’re in the orchestra and band together. When Ian starts making comments about Val wanting Sam, he starts dismissing Ian. Ian figures if Sam won’t go after Val then he will. That instantly makes Sam’s blood boil.

Sam won’t let Val be Ian’s next victim. He tries to put a claim on her but Ian don’t believe it. They make a bet. Sam feels instantly bad about it but’ll do anything to protect Val from Ian.

But, the more and more time Sam spends with Val the more and harder he is falling for her. Sam’s never felt like this before for a women. His hearts telling him he’s in love but his brain is telling him he’s no good for her.

Sam knows he must admit 2 things to Val. His true feelings for her and everything that happened with Ian that resulted in a bet. But, Sam can’t admit the second part bc he doesn’t want to hurt her or loose her.

Even though he told her he wants to stop being friends and be her boyfriend he knows the truth needs to come out. But, Ian’s changed ever since Sam has been around Val. He’s always overlooked Ian’s dark side. This time he can’t and won’t. ESP when this time Ian’s crossed a line to hurt Val and Sam won’t let that go.

Sam just needs to get Val to listen to him, forgive him and hopefully not give up on them.

Once I started this I couldn’t put it down. I loved this so much more then Piece of Work!! I might not of liked what Sam did but I understood it. I hated he put himself into same category as Ian bc he’s soooooooo not!!!! He’d just never found his one before Val. My heart broke for everything Val went thru with being body shamed. I’m glad she didn’t let it ruin her.

Sam and Val are great together!!! I’m super excited for the rest of the RLC ladies to put their lipsticks on and have that superpower to take over and then get their HEA. I’m also really hoping, praying and keeping my fingers crossed that Val’s brothers get their stories written bc OMG they had me laughing and wanting more from them.

Excerpt:
The night flew by, time speeding up and sliding past with nothing to mark the hours but his laughter and my smiles and our bodies bouncing around the parquet like we had nothing in the world to do but dance. I had no idea how late it was until “New York, New York” came on with the house lights. Sam hooked me under his arm and guided me out into the chilly fall evening. Like an idiot, I’d come without a jacket, and I tried to play it off like I wasn’t cold. A shiver wracked down my spine, betraying me. He shrugged off his leather jacket. “Here, wear this.” “B-but then y-you’ll be cold,” I said, shifting away from him in an effort to stop him. “Look, it’s n-not even cold. It’s f-fake cold. It’s only what—like, sixty out? M-my body is j-just being drunk and d-dumb.” “Val.” The word was a gentle warning. He held out his jacket like a matador. “Put it on.” “N-no,” I said with a laugh. He shook it once like he was taunting me. “Toro.” I giggled, stumbling a little as I brought my hands to the top of my head, pointer fingers to the stars. “OlĂ©!” I cheered as I charged. But instead of running through his jacket, I found myself in his arms. I didn’t know how it happened. The jacket was there, and then it was gone. But instead of being laid out on the sidewalk like I should have been, Sam’s arms were hooked around my waist, our bodies winding together and twisting from the force of his catch. And then I looked up, and time stretched out in a long, still moment. His eyes on my mouth. Mine on his. His nose millimeters from mine and his mouth so close, if I turned my head just right, our lips would brush. The warmth of him was everywhere. I wasn’t cold anymore. I was on fire. So I said the first thing that entered my empty mind. “Are you going to kiss me, or am I gonna have to lie to my diary?” The moment broke with our laughter, filled the air around us, stopped my chugging heart. He pressed his lips to my forehead. I sighed. “I guess that’ll do.” He hooked his jacket over my shoulders, taking a moment to look over my face, watching his fingers as he tucked a loose curl behind my ear. “Come on. Let’s get you home. You did good tonight, Val.” “Thanks to your expert advice.” But he smiled. “Pretty soon, you’ll figure out you didn’t need me at all.” And I smiled back and pretended like it was possible that statement held an iota of truth.

About the Author
Staci has been a lot of things up to this point in her life -- a graphic designer, an entrepreneur, a seamstress, a clothing and handbag designer, a waitress. Can't forget that. She's also been a mom, with three little girls who are sure to grow up to break a number of hearts. She's been a wife, though she's certainly not the cleanest, or the best cook. She's also super, duper fun at a party, especially if she's been drinking whiskey. From roots in Houston to a seven year stint in Southern California, Staci and her family ended up settling somewhere in between and equally north, in Denver. They are new enough that snow is still magical. When she's not writing, she's reading, sleeping, gaming, or designing graphics. StaciHart
