✯Review✯Undead Love:Not Alone(Undead Love, #2)by Lee Sutherland

Synopsis

"The virus is here. You should go home if you can."

Those were the last words Connor had the chance to say to Juliet before the zombies overtook their small town. Now, after two years, their paths have unexpectedly crossed again.

Cedric, Juliet's father, strongly disapproves of the sparks he sees reigniting between his daughter and Connor--the boy he had once banned from his daughter's life. But now, on the run from the vile inhabitants of their last encampment, Cedric has no choice but to accept temporary refuge at Connor's farm while he works on a plan to get himself and his daughter to safety.

Juliet's father is the only family she has left. Even still, she can't deny that the only place she truly wants to seek refuge is in Connor's arms, and it is no secret that he longs for the same thing. But when Connor's brother Phil goes missing soon after Juliet and her father show up, Connor begins to wonder who he can trust. Suddenly, Juliet finds herself willing to risk anything and everything to save what is most precious to her before it is too late.

✯4 Undead Stars!!!

Connor and Juliet have a past. They briefly dated in high school, until Juliet’s father, Cedric, made his feelings known about their relationship. He forbid his daughter to associate with Connor because he was a farm boy and was deemed not good enough for his daughter. But after of two years of being apart and surviving through the plague that overtook the people surrounding them, their paths crossed once again when Connor and his brother Phil come across Juliet and Cedric wandering around trying to find safety. Connor’s family decides to take in the two wanderers and Juliet and Connor finally get a second chance, even though Cedric still does not approve at first.
In this sequel to the Undead Love series, the group not only has to protect each other from the walking zombies that threaten their lives, but they, also, find that there is a group, the one in the same that Cedric and Juliet fled from, that they must try to fend off after they kidnap Connor’s brother Phil in an attempt to take over their farm!
This book will keep you on your toes and want you to keep reading until the end!

✯Review✯Undead Love(Undead Love, #1)by Lee Sutherland

Synopsis

For the past year, Rus has had no desire to connect with the outside world, preferring that the only company he keeps be the memories of his former life. That is until he meets Polly, the young, spirited, fearless wild-card who has joined forces with a family living on a secluded farm.

Polly doesn't know what to make of this rogue man who has no regards for the rules of her clan. All she knows is that in a world crawling with death, there is something about him that makes her feel alive.

Rus and Polly are caught in a whirlpool of passion and danger as they explore the countryside, searching for supplies. When they find themselves trapped in a cabin, waiting out a violent thunderstorm, the zombies lurking outside aren't the only thing that threatens to tear them apart.

✯4 Undead Stars!!!

This book takes you through an absolute emotional rollercoaster! The two main characters are Rus, a man on his own surviving after the death of his wife, and Polly, a woman who has found a family that has accepted them into their home as one of their own, including the strength of family relationships and some issues within the family. As soon as you begin the book, you are taken into a world quite like The Walking Dead, which appealed to me very much. I felt like I was reading about a society quite like the societies in the television show. But these characters are not as dark and mean, or at least most of them aren't.
Rus and Polly have an instant connection, but they are both hesitant to begin a relationship because of their own separate fears. As the book goes on, you find yourself rooting for the couple and wanting more for their relationship. Lee Sutherland did a wonderful job portraying life after such a horrible "apocalypse." I cannot wait to read the next book in this series!
