This is Teri Kay's debut novel and it was a great story. But, there's one thing that annoys me when I'm reading a book and this one had it. Every chapter bounced between the 2 POV's which I love. What I don't like when I'm reading a book is at the beginning of every chapter I'm rereading everything that happened in the previous chapter. And, it drove me insane!

Ryann McKennan hasn't had it easy. Her and her husband Lucas tried so hard to start a family. After two miscarriages Lucas had decided he'd had enough and filed for divorce. Ryann works as a teacher and doesn't make much money. When she's about to go completely broke she decided to move in with her mom and her mom's nudist boyfriend. Her best friend Rose talks her into working with her at The Cave for the summer and save the money. Even though she's worried about her teaching job, the girls help talk her into doing it. 

With the help of wigs, colored contact lenses and the name Vaughnn you don't recognize her. With the help of Vanessa she's getting the hand of stripping. But, she was unprepared for the men that would come into her life.  ESP Nathan. Even though she's using this as her reckless abandon summer and enjoying herself. Ryann hasn't told Nathan everything and really wants too.

Nathan Sims has been burned by  an ex-girlfriend, who worked as a stripper. The only good thing she did for him was give him his daughter. He's vowed to never date another stripper again. Nathan is a professional poker player and makes millions doing what he loves. Nathan is also a silent partner to The Cave. Nathan enjoyed his life. Then, walked in Vaughnn and totally rocked him inside out. He can't stop thinking about her. The more time they spend together the more he's falling for her. Nathan has never felt this way about a woman before. Except whatever it is thats going on btwn them isn't as easy as he'd hoped. There is a   bunch of things in their way. 

This was a good story. But, for me it wasn't as fast paced as I'd hoped. I absolutely loved Nathan. His jealousy got to me. But, just a little. Ryann, she got to me. My heart hurt for the loss of her unborn children. There was a few things she did that pissed me off BC if she loved Nathan like she said she did. I felt she wouldn't of been doing what she was. If she'd said she liked the attention or never used the love word, it wouldn't of bothered me. 

For this to be Teri's debut book is was a great start to what I'm positive will be a nice long career. She set up a bunch of characters whose stories I want to know. I'm looking forward to Rose next and really want Vanessa and a bunch others.

Where do I even start?? I fell in love with Nicky Love in Stone, At Your Service which was the first book in the series. In that book Nicky who's a paranormal erotic romance author. He has a very big, crazy & stalker fans. He came up with plan. Everybody thought he was gay. And, it worked until people kept questioning where his boyfriend was. Enter his best friend Josh Stone. They went to a convention and Josh fell head over heals in love with LeeLee. 

Now, with his cover has been blown, Nicky bought a new motorcycle and has been restoring it in Josh's garage. That's where he meets Catarina Steele. She's his "Wildcat" After their first conversation when she slapped him. Catarina is feisty and very closed off to everyone, except her 2 brothers. Her brothers Brodie & Boomer are high up in their MC and are very, very protective of their sister and with a very good reason.

Josh & LeeLee are preparing for their wedding. Nicky of course is Josh's best man. Ever since his best friend fell in love and it's in his face 24/7 he realizes he wants that. His Mimi, his dog, Josh and his son JJ & Josh's mom along his the guys at the garage are his family and he loves them. But, he's definitely  missing that something  more.

The more time Cat & Nicky spend together their chemistry and connection just keep getting hotter & stronger that they stop fighting. You'd hope it would just go from there. Except both of them have their secrets. Only Cat's brothers know her secrets. As for Nicky nonody except his Mimi knows his. Not even Josh knows. 

Both Nicky & Cat have become so closed off because of their secrets. Cat doesn't trust many people. Nicky has become filled with guilt.That neither one of them know how to be in a relationship. It becomes doomed from the start.  They have to find a way to say their secrets outloud and hope the other one doesn't run for the hills.

I absolutely loved this story!! The relationship Nicky & Josh have is really the best. They still joke and go back & forth. Joke about everything. Constantly try to out due the other one. And, still be serious and be there for each other. The guys from the garage are still funny as before and still up to their old antics. The hens and everyone else from the convention are still big in this book. Their twitter conversations between them, Nicky & LeeLee had me hysterical. And, watching Cat grow and open up was great to watch!! Plus, the hotness level... OMG!!! Was off the charts. These 2 definitely had it and them some. My kindle smoked 1/2 the time I was reading it.

I am so looking for to Ride the novella that comes out next. Then, Cat's brother Brodie's book Steel, Into Your Heartcomes in April. And, I am counting down the days to get my hands on them bad boys!!

“You get to me and I don’t want to be got at.” Cat slung herself into the chair next to mine.

“I like getting under your skin.” Pulling her chair closer, I pinned her legs between mine. I caressed along her neck until I cupped her face. “If you give us a shot, I guarantee I’ll make it worth your while.”

She slammed her lips against mine. This kiss was volatile and urgent as our tongues fucked against each other. I slipped back for a moment, listening to her jarred breaths. That goddamn ponytail had to go. I freed the elastic as she unbuttoned the shirt I’d thrown on earlier. Playing with the line of hair down my torso led Cat to my jeans. Well, Heather Leigh outdid herself this time!! I LOVED Burning Desire & could not wait to read this one. And, WOW!! I was extremely glad I did. If you read the 1st book & thought Chase was fine & hot as hell. Well, Nicole is one lucky girl. She has Hunter (Chase's friend) & Jeremy (Roxy's brother & Chase's oldest best friend) and man are they BOTH fine, strong and let's not forget sexy as hell!! And, they both are doing everything to win Nicole. Heather upped the steaminess and added extra hot into it as well.

Ride Hard picked up right where Burning Desire left off, with Roxy & Chase. They finally got their HEA. Now, we jump right into the Jeremy/Nicole/Hunter triangle. What a triangle it is!

Nicole hasn't had the easiest life. Luckily for her, she's always had Roxy in her corner. Jeremy has always been there as well. We learn a lot about her past and the struggles she's had to overcome. In almost every part of Nicole's life, good and bad there's Jeremy! Jeremy & Roxy's dad also looks at Nicole as a daughter. She also has the MC.

Nicole and Jeremy have been fighting this attraction for years. Just when you think they're going to give in to temptation, think again!! Jeremy tells Nicole where to go AGAIN and this time she's had it. Nicole ends up landing into the arms of Hunter.

Man, what I would give to have him catch me! Hunter is all man with a soft spot. He really does care about Nicole. But, Hunter is far from stupid. Hunter can see how Jeremy & Nicole look at each other. Every time you turn around they are standing too close. Hunter totally plans not to go down without a fight.

This is not the only drama going on. The MC is on very high alert. After everything that went down getting Roxy back, the Devil's MC wants revenge. And, by revenge I mean blood. Nobody is allowed to go anywhere alone.

Nicole is still living with Jeremy. She usually has either Jeremy or Hunter with her at all times. She's still working at the club & still owns her own studio. Nicole really is a bad ass girl! The way she uses her body to get under Jeremy's skin. Or dancing at the club when she's performing. She's not afraid to pull a gun on someone if she has too.

Every time Nicole & Jeremy are together I'd end up laughing. One minute they are ready to jump the other one. Then, they are fighting over Nicole forgetting to lock the door. Jeremy secretly loves Nicole living with him. But, he'd never say that out loud.

Hunter & Nicole have a different relationship. Hunter is all about Nicole. In every way. Man, what that man can do with his tongue should be illegal!! Hunter wants Nicole to be his "Old Lady" and isn't afraid to let her know about it.

Jeremy heads out of town to do some checking up on the Devils MC. While there he continues to make Hunter & Nicole's lives miserable. Which by the way, I loved!! He runs into Nina. Cute, sexy and ready for anything Jeremy has plans. He has a good time with her & decides to bring her home.

Jeremy wasn't prepared for what happened after he brought Nina home. Even though Nicole & Nina are at each others throats. He secretly loves it because it lets him know he hasn't lost Nicole to Hunter for good. It's when his clubhouse gets attacked by the Devils MC. Jax wants revenge & has planned it out perfectly. Nina isn't who she claims to be. And, a HUGE HUGE bomb about Nicole gets dropped that nobody saw coming. Especially, Nicole. Nicole then makes  a decision to save Jeremy the man who she loves deep down & the MC that has become her family.

Heather apparently likes to leave us hanging. Every book the cliffhanger gets BIGGER then the last one! This book was fast paced. It had everything in it. The ONLY thing that really disappointed me was the lack of Roxy & Chase. Jeremy & Chase are oldest best friends. Who were inseparable. The same with Roxy & Nicole.  In Burning Desire Roxy & Chase went to Nicole and Jeremy. Yet, in this one it wasn't. They were in the beginning & the end. I was very upset about that. Other then that, I have no complaints. There was more action, hotness & the sex. Was totally bumped up. I bounced around for who I wanted Nicole with. Team Hunter. Team Jeremy. It's hard to choose. But, I can honestly say Jeremy did more for me. All the way :) I can not wait Reckless Abandon. I'm dying for more of Hunter's story.

About The Author-

Deciding to write books was something I had contemplated for a while. A co-worker of mine had gotten me started me on the 50 Shades Trilogy. I had quickly became absorbed! Reading contemporary romance had become a part of me. Little did I know that my daughter was a product of the “50 Shades Baby Boom”! I remember going to my doctor’s appointment to find out that we were off to labor and delivery- and I didn’t download any new books to my kindle! Talk about bummed out! However, I made up for that when I was home for my maternity leave. I believe we read 40+ books while I was home.

I am a full time new mom, and wife. Yes, I do work full time, I am currently doing multiple things, bouncing back after baby, weight watchers, exercising, training for a 5k, reading and writing. So far, I have really enjoyed writing as a hobby.

My work book club, “HE” had consumed us (and by us, I mean 2). We were critics of the stories and characters. I then thought to myself, “hmm, I bet I could write stories just like this, and have them turn out like I’d want them to.” Well, joking turned into thinking. Thinking turned into brainstorming. Brainstorming lead to opening a word document and letting my mind explore.

Growing up I had written short stories with friends, and as extra credit for school. This is probably where it all started… I had turned in one of my short stories without re-reading, or editing it completely. I had my paper returned to me saying the “content was inappropriate.” Apparently contemporary romance was frowned upon in English class! Oops! So maybe I was destined to become a writer.

I thought to myself that I want to live in this world and make a difference and have a part of me in history after I leave. This is me staying forever young.

Here I will post my journey, it’s a learning experience for me, so please bear with me.

Where do I even start?! This isn't my 1st book by Danielle. And, it's so NOT going be to my last!! This is the 1st book in the  'Coulda Woulda Shoulda' series. It did not disappoint. This book literally has a bit of EVERYTHING  in it. Everyone has such strong family values. Family comes first. The characters have all been hurt in the past. Most of them have abandonment issues.  A lot of them have trouble trusting outsiders & putting themselves out there. It really was a good story. 


The story revolves around  Lucia Mpobo-Riddell & her 2 crazy but loving older sisters. Their dad died when they were young & their mother abandoned them. Lucia also called Luce was raised by her sisters. They are both dancers and Luce can also dance her butt off. But, she chose a different career path. She is a top singer, song writer, producer.And, man can she cook!!! Everyone loves her cooking. I was getting hungry reading what she was cooking. LOL. She's a jack of all trades!! Luce is also absolutely stunningly  beautiful. This woman has men falling all over her. She is not afraid to speak her mind. After everything she has been through in her life, she's extremely strong. And, she doesn't let anyone push her around.

Luce and her sister go out for her birthday where she locks eyes with Marcus Grant. Sparks fly instantly between the 2 of them. Marcus has an ulterior motives for being there. He wasn't expecting Luce to be as beautiful as she is. He introduces himself as 'Just Marcus'. After a night of drinking, dancing & straight parting it up. Luce asks 'Just Marcus'  back to her place. After a night of mind blowing sex. Marcus gives her a beautiful charm bracelet for her birthday & she gives him her card. For 3 days she hears nothing from him.

Luce walks into work getting ready to start her next project. She's the head songwriter, producer for Beesly & Matt for their next album "Second Coming". Luce walks into the meeting to see Marcus sitting there talking to everybody. Then, she realizes just exactly who he is. She is informed that he's very, very good friends with Matt  and that they will be working together on this album. Livid is not even close to how mad Luce is!! 

Luce takes the high road. After an argument Luce keeps it as professional as she can. Even though more then 1/2 the time she is just ignoring him. Which I loved!! It was killing Marcus that she wasn't speaking to him. He was falling for her and yet he was still pretty damaged at the same time.

Not only was Luce working hard on the upcoming album. But, the Mpobo-Riddell sister's are planning Noor's wedding. Luce is giving her away. When the sister's get together all I did was laugh my butt off. Between the way they drink their asses off & man do these girls LOVE to shop!! Noor & Luce always have to be careful because  Axelle is in charge of what they spend. It's actually funny as hell.

Matt, Beesly's husband is making Marcus & Luce life miserable. Every song they write he hates & says no. Until one day he loves them all. They find out he got a acting gig & is leaving town. Beesly is livid because he's going to be near his ex. Let's just say there's very bad blood between the 2 & I'm leaving it at that.

While they're finishing up the album. Enters the hot, sexy dancer Greg. Who's been Luce & her sisters best friend for over a decade. Oh. Did I mention he's been in love with Luce before she ever met him! Marcus gets extremely jealous.  

After countless of blood, sweat & hard loving work it's Noor's big day. Now, being that it's the music & dancing world. Everybody knows everybody. Marcus ends up going to Noor's big day for another family member. He brings his older brother Patrick also called Paddy. I LOVED LOVED  Patty. He's  hysterical & man is he one sexy doctor!! Luce is instantly crushing. Which I love because she loves making Marcus jealous. 

Marcus & Luce get all hot and steamy very quick. After the wedding they go to Marcus & Paddy's parents house. They fall in love with Luce and visa verse. Luce sees what it's like to have parents & a loving family. Something she never had. Other then her sisters & other family members. There is still that void that she's missing. When they are getting ready to leave for 2 different places. Marcus is going to start working on Mary's next album. There are major secrets going on with that. Luce is going back home to finish the last minute 'Second Coming' stuff. Luce puts herself out there. She says those 3 words. Gets nothing back!!

Marcus goes to work. Trying to stay away from Mary as much as possible. Luce gets a frantic phone call from Noor on her honeymoon. She's in trouble & needs her sister. Right before she leaves Beesly lets Marcus's secret out. Thinking Luce knew it. I'm not giving that away. But, how many times can he keep lying to her!!

"It's easier for us to stay away, easier not to remember what we lost or are loosing by being the Mpobo-Riddell sisters, the orphaned ones."

After Noor's out of trouble. They go to their cousins fashion show. They run into Mary. Oh karma really is a bitch!! Marcus walks into work the next day & walks right into Luce. Talk about the table being turned around!! Awesome  Danielle!! As I was reading it the words BAM BITCH  popped in my head!!! 

Now, Marcus must win Luce back. All while Greg is back and trying to win her over. Her heart, mind and emotions are all over the place!! She is also trying to move up in her career. While being the sister Noor & Axelle need. 

I felt for Luce the whole time. Just when she thought she knew what she wanted, and with who. Something or somebody got in the way. Even Marcus isn't dealing with everything properly. Poor Greg. Can he get the girl he's been waiting for? There were times I'd get confused. But, I literally couldn't put this book down. I can not wait to continue to read about this crazy, sexy, strong, independent group of people. Thanks Danielle!!
