OMG!! What a debut book by TJ Rudolph. I was hooked from the synopsis and knew I had to read this. I read it in one afternoon. When you decide to read this make sure you have tissues. You'll need them.

Grace Delaney didn't have an easy life. Her mother took off and left her and her father. Grace's father works mostly out of town for weeks at a time. She didn't have any friends. Then, Aaron Wheeler walked into her life. They became best friends. Aaron said she was his sister. She became like a daughter to his parents. She'd stay with them when her father was away. 

Grace and Aaron were planning on going to college together. Grace planned on telling Aaron how she really felt about him. But, Aaron was in a car accident and passed away before Grace got the chance. Grace went into a depression after loosing Aaron. Aaron's parents and her father try to help her. She wasn't going to go to college without him. Then, Aaron showed up encouraging her to go.

Grace goes to college and runs into Chase Ryder. He's from her town. Grace heard of Chase but didn't know of him. She only knows he went to juvi, but doesn't know exactly why. Chase insists he wants to be friends with Grace. Chase finds himself drawn to her  and the need to protect Grace. Chase himself didn't have a good childhood. He'd do anything to forget it. 

After Aaron passed away Grace didn't think she'd ever love again. But, she finds herself falling for Chase. Whenever Grace needs advice or needs to talk to someone who really knows her, Aaron comes to her. She knows he's not real. But, Grace will take as much time with Aaron that she can. 

Just when Grace was finding some peace and a routine in her life. Her feelings for Chase have grown. Somebody from her past comes  back. Grace has only trusted Aaron with the truth. Grace must learn to trust Chase for them to work. But, then Chase's past comes back and Grace doesn't know if she can forgive him.

This book was beautiful. You'd never know that this is TJ Rudolph's debut book. The way she wrote this story. I was bawling from the very beginning until the very end. 5 stars aren't enough. I can not wait from more from TJ Rudolph.  

 

TJ Rudolph is a financial administrator from Cape Town, South Africa-a beautiful Town placed between the mountain and the sea. ✯✯4 Reckless Stars!!!✯✯

This is Teri Kay's debut novel and it was a great story. But, there's one thing that annoys me when I'm reading a book and this one had it. Every chapter bounced between the 2 POV's which I love. What I don't like when I'm reading a book is at the beginning of every chapter I'm rereading everything that happened in the previous chapter. And, it drove me insane!

Ryann McKennan hasn't had it easy. Her and her husband Lucas tried so hard to start a family. After two miscarriages Lucas had decided he'd had enough and filed for divorce. Ryann works as a teacher and doesn't make much money. When she's about to go completely broke she decided to move in with her mom and her mom's nudist boyfriend. Her best friend Rose talks her into working with her at The Cave for the summer and save the money. Even though she's worried about her teaching job, the girls help talk her into doing it. 

With the help of wigs, colored contact lenses and the name Vaughnn you don't recognize her. With the help of Vanessa she's getting the hand of stripping. But, she was unprepared for the men that would come into her life.  ESP Nathan. Even though she's using this as her reckless abandon summer and enjoying herself. Ryann hasn't told Nathan everything and really wants too.

Nathan Sims has been burned by  an ex-girlfriend, who worked as a stripper. The only good thing she did for him was give him his daughter. He's vowed to never date another stripper again. Nathan is a professional poker player and makes millions doing what he loves. Nathan is also a silent partner to The Cave. Nathan enjoyed his life. Then, walked in Vaughnn and totally rocked him inside out. He can't stop thinking about her. The more time they spend together the more he's falling for her. Nathan has never felt this way about a woman before. Except whatever it is thats going on btwn them isn't as easy as he'd hoped. There is a   bunch of things in their way. 

This was a good story. But, for me it wasn't as fast paced as I'd hoped. I absolutely loved Nathan. His jealousy got to me. But, just a little. Ryann, she got to me. My heart hurt for the loss of her unborn children. There was a few things she did that pissed me off BC if she loved Nathan like she said she did. I felt she wouldn't of been doing what she was. If she'd said she liked the attention or never used the love word, it wouldn't of bothered me. 

For this to be Teri's debut book is was a great start to what I'm positive will be a nice long career. She set up a bunch of characters whose stories I want to know. I'm looking forward to Rose next and really want Vanessa and a bunch others.

Mayra Statham has done it to me again! This is her debut book. But, it's the third book of hers I've read. I been dying to read this book even since I read Davenport Harbor the third book in this series. I fell in love with Sabrina and Mike and knew I had to read their book. Man, was I so not prepared for their story!

Sabrina Miller was happily married with 3 children until her husband got killed by a drunk driver. The last 3 1/2 yrs Sabrina has been going day to day the same way. She makes sure her kids are happy and throws herself into her work. Her family and friends help her with everything. They're all worried about her. Sabrina stopped living her life and isn't carefree and living life to the fullest. But,they're letting her deal with the loss of her husband her own way. 

Then one afternoon Sabrina's life changes. When Sabrina runs into Mike Crown. Yes, she legit runs into a beautiful steel wall by the name Mike Crown. Their chemistry was instant and off the charts hot! Sabrina's friends and family have been trying to hook her up for years now. She's never felt anything for anybody since her husband. Until she bumped into Mike. 

Mike and Sabrina get into  a routine very quickly. Sabrina is very busy between her job and juggling the 3 kids. Mike is also very busy with his job and traveling at the last minute at times. Sabrina's kids and Mike get along so good. Every time I'd read the interaction between Mike and the kids I'd end up smiling or tearing up. Every time!! Mike and Sabrina are falling fast for each other. They aren't dating but "getting to know each other"and man I'd do anything to get to know a man like Mike!

Sabrina doesn't know Mike for years or know everything about him. But, she can tell he's holding back. She can feel he wants to tell her something. But, she won't push him. Mike is torn. He was with his ex for 10 yrs and he's never felt anything close to what he feels for Sabrina. He wants to claim her. But, he won't until he tells her everything. Mike can't get the words out. He's tried and they never come. Mike doesn't want to loose Sabrina or her kids.

This book was fantastic!! I loved the 2 POV's in this book. Getting how Mike was struggling with everything. He was so in love with Sabrina and the kids it was so nice. Mike didn't care about her "baggage" as Sabrina would say. He loved them all. Except he was fighting a battle within himself. It broke my heart. And, Sabrina. Man, she's prob one of the strongest and forgiving woman I have read in a long time I'm dying for her BFF Nick to get his story told. Every book of Mayra's I read the harder I love her! She's totally on my must read author list. I don't need a synopsis to put it on my TBR list. It just needs her name. I can't wait to see what she comes up with next.

Alexa is the 2nd book in this novella series. It's about 3 best friends who've gone on vacation. The first book was based on Tash and James story. Now the girls are home and it's Alexa turn to find love. The sexy firefighter turned lover to Tash has a very sexy brother Johnny. Johnny and James didn't grow up together all the time. Johnny ended up  growing up in Ireland. He's back now with a wicked sexy Irish accent and they own/run the pub.

Alexa loves men. She's going through  a very dry spell! Alexa and her best friend Shelby totally goes both ways. Shelby and Alexa have definitely enjoyed each other's company. Once while on vacation and once in the bathroom. I'm not big on w/w and m/m books. But, man these 2 were hot!!

These 3 girls like to party party and drink. Alexa is a beautician and also teaches pole dancing at night. Alexa is attracted to Johnny and is having a hard time hiding it. But, she's realizing that Johnny is flirting back with her. Not only is he a flirt he's a protector. A few times when she'd been drinking it was Johnny who was there to pick her up and help her. 

These 2 don't take long to jump into bed together. And, man were these 2 hot hot hot!! What was supposed to be a one night stand turned into something much more. But, then outta nowhere someone from Johnny past comes back and throws a bomb into their happiness.

Like I said in the first book. I liked this book I wish there was so much more to it. I've read a decent amount of novella series this past year. And, what I liked about them was we would get enough information about the characters, storyline and usually it ended in a cliffhanger. But, it didn't leave me with a hole. I really wasn't connected with the characters and felt like I didn't know them. All I know is basic info about Alexa and Johnny. What I did like was how close everybody was. The girls would do anything for each other. Alexa and Shelby really stood up for Tash. It was great to see. Even James and Johnny have a great relationship. But, I loved seeing how close he became with the girls. He helped and protected Alexa like he'd known her forever. I def want to read Shelby story.

Tash can not wait to go away on  a weekend getaway with her girls. But, she wasn't expecting to run into a hot sexy dominate James. They meet at the bar in the airport and hit it off instantly. James and his friends are there for a stag weekend. They find out they're all going to the same place. James lets her know he will find her. Tash isn't 100% sure. But, the girls remind her that James isn't her married ex-boyfriend slash boss. So, she agrees to go for it and break the rules,

Tash and James meet up rather quick thanks to one of the girls slipping her number to James. Man, do they have the wildest night Tash has ever had. Then, she up and dips before he even wakes up. While she's enjoying her day with the girls she sees James. There's some girls talking to him and for the first time ever she gets jealous. 

James and Tash spend the rest of the weekend together and realize they live really close together. They're time doesn't end  when the weekend is up. These 2 are really good together. Just when you think it's happily ever after think again. Tash's ex/boss has other plans.

As much as I liked this book I wish there was so much more to it. I've read a decent amount of novella series this past year. I came across this book and author on Facebook. When I saw the cover and the synopsis I totally Pre-ordered it. I was really glad when it popped up on my Kindle. But, I was kinda nervous about reading this though. Well, that's a lie. I was very very nervous about reading it. I was nervous because almost 9yrs ago I was in  a terrible car accident and almost didn't make it. And, my brother was there when it happened and I know how effected we both were from it. So, I was scared and knew I definitely was going to cry.

Aiden is living in Hawaii far away from his hometown of Chicago. Too bad it's not far enough. He hates his brother. With a passion!! Aiden wants nothing to do with the family business. Nothing. Not even the money. He loves living in Hawaii and teaching surfing and the girls and getting high. That's what he loves and there's nothing and no one that'll change that.

Essie and her older brother Vaugh are best friends. They're all they have. After years of going from shelter to shelter they finally have enough money for their own apartment. They don't have much but as long as they have each other they don't need anything else. 

One day one moment changed both Essie and Aiden's lives forever. Aiden's brother was driving their parents home and fell asleep driving and ended up crashing. They died on impact and in the process hit another truck. Vaugh was driving the truck and ended up dying at the scene. 

Aiden had planned on going home and letting the company either be run by the board of sell the whole thing. When he realizes there is no board and there are a lot of people relying on their jobs, he can't walk away. Aiden trades his board shorts and surfboard for  a suit and computer. While Essie shuts down. Goes into a severe depression. How is she suppose to go on with her life without her brother? Easy...Revenge. Essie takes a job to get closer to the last remaining Callahan and plans on ruining him.

It takes Essie 5 years to get the information she needs to ruin Aiden. She has is all planned out. Essie was shocked when he agreed to meet with her. There was something she didn't know. Essie wasn't the only one with a plan. Aiden has kept a close eye on Essie since her brother died. He's been dreaming about her as well. When these 2 finally meet face to face after 5yrs man is it hot!!

Both of them are dominate people in the bedroom. They can't fight these crazy feelings for each other. Essie is realizing really quick that Aiden is not what she though he'd be. The more she talks  and spends time with him the harder it's getting for her to go through with her plan to ruin him. Even though Aiden knows who she is and knows she is definitely up to something he doesn't care. He'll do anything to be close to her. Essie is confused and bolts! 

I read this book in one afternoon. It was a quick read. It was a good debut book. It was short sweet hot and to the point. I will say I bawled when Essie buried her brother. I couldn't imagine going trough that. And, being alone after that. But, I couldn't deal with the whole revenge thing. She ended up with a decent job and had an apartment of her own. You'd think after 5yrs she'd of let the revenge thing go. Aiden. Man, was he hot! And, he's really a truly good guy. Always looking out for everyone else's best interest over his. I'm hoping he can knock some sense into Essie before it's too late!!
