Finally!!! I’ve been waiting for Elle and Connor’s story since Hitching The Cowboy. Every book in the Circle B Ranch Series you see a little bit more of them. Every time they popped up I wanted their story more. 

Connor Wallen is going thru a divorce and has gotten his vet clinic off and going. I’d that wasn’t hard enough but one night he comes home to find out his soon to-be-ex has packed up their daughter’s stuff and moved them 4hrs away. 

The only reason why Connor agreed to talking to Elizabeth AKA Elle Bishop about an intern position was Bc of her Grandma Rose. The min Connor see’s Elle he knows he should send her on her way. She’s def bad news for him. He’s already dealing with a messy divorce, custody and Elle makes him loose his breathe with one look. He’s 8yrs older than her and can’t risk doing something stupid. Connor hires her but decides to keep thing’s 100% professional and at arm’s length. 

Elle Bishop has always wanted to be a veterinarian. She was excited when Connor took her on and taught her. She’s learned so much from him. Elle’s not blind she can see how gorgeous he is but 99.999% of the time he’s a complete tool to her. She’s not sure why but she just goes with the flow.  

This book has duel POV and we go from their first meeting in the prologue. Kennedy Fox does an amazing job at writing what’s going on and then the next chapter or paragraph the time jump’s till we’re at the end of Wrangling The Cowboy where Elle learns Connor has a daughter. 

When Connor starts letting Elle into the parts of him that he’s kept to himself thing’s definitely take a turn. They’ve been so attracted to each other but kept it to themselves. Now that everything’s out there it’s either they’re in or out Bc neither one wanna play games. Needless to say they’re both in and not looking back.  

I’ve been rooting for Connor and Elle for so long. Thing’s definitely weren’t easy for them. But, it was worth the wait. This two are perfect together!!

It’s always nice seeing the rest of the Bishop family. Sometimes depending on the time frame you might be at a party or girl’s night that we’ve been to before but you’re getting a different POV. I love it!! 

Now, I’m all ready for Ethan and Harper!! I’m hoping Ethan doesn’t get his heart broken and loose his best friend and his crush in an instant.

YES!!!! Staci Hart proves every time she releases a new book why she’s one of my favorite authors.  This isn’t her first Jane Austen inspired book and hopefully it’s not the last. 

Tess Monroe has worked at the flower shop her entire life and takes care of her father and she wouldn’t have it any other way. Mrs. Bennett has taught her everything and has been a mother figure to her. 

With the flower shop failing all of Mrs. Bennett’s children have moved home to save the family business and their legacy. Tess is fine until Luke walks into the flower shop. 

Tess used to be friends with Luke. She had a huge crush on him. On a night Tess needed Luke the most, he was there for her. They shared words and a kiss that Tess will never forget. Unfortunately the next day Luke didn’t remember their night and Tess was heartbroken. 

Tess literally wants nothing to do with Luke. But, in order to save the shop she must work one on one with him and he’s making her forget why she hates him and that’s killing her. 

Luke Bennett is the youngest sibling and has never held down a job. He kinda just goes with the flow. Wherever the wind blows him he goes. Since getting divorced and he’s close to hitting rock bottom when he gets the call about his families flower shop he drops everything and goes home. 

Luke’s always thought Tess was beautiful but somehow she’s more beautiful than he remembered. Unfortunately, Tess hates him and for the life of him he can’t remember what happened for her to feel that way. 

Luke wants to prove to his siblings, parents and most importantly Tess that he has what it takes to save their families legacy. Luke’s worked a million different jobs, made a bunch of different contacts.  All are an advantage to his plans. He’s gradually getting closer to Tess and feeling things he’s never felt before. 

Just as Tess, Luke and the rest of the Bennett family think they’ve made steps in the right direction Luke’s past returns and throws a wrench in everything. 

This story’s amazing!!! Luke is an all-around amazing guy. He was all over the place for awhile but it was bc he didn’t have a purpose and somebody to ground him. Even though I wanted to strangle him a few times, it was hard bc he does think with his heart and people took advantage of that. 

Tess had a stick up her butt in the beginning. I thought she was overreacting. You can’t expect somebody to remember something important when they were drunk when the conversation happened. I’m just saying lol. Thankfully Luke helped her relax and breathe and enjoy herself. 

Luke and Tess are amazing and they were the perfect couple to start a new series off on. After meeting the Bennett siblings and their amazing parents I’m really looking forward to the rest of their HEA and the success of their flower shop. This family deserves it. Great job Staci!!!!

Finally! I’ve been waiting for Louise Bay to publish another book and I feel like I’ve been waiting forever. I was so glad when I got the British night I was able to open up and I found out that it was Violet King and Alexander Knightly.

Violet King had it all and then one day it was all taken away from her. She vowed to never let another man get close to her and she’s been working job to job since. When she’s at her lowest she gets an option to go to London for three months for a job working for a law firm. On the train she bumps into a quiet, handsome man who makes her feel something she hasn’t felt in a long time. When she drops the directions this mysterious man shows her the way. Violet just knew London was definitely going to be different, good different. But, she was shocked by how different it was. 

Alexander Knightly lives and breathes his job. He’s in the office from sun up to sundown. His marriage ended three years ago and since then he hasn’t had a relationship, he’s not celibate but is definitely not in a relationship and he doesn’t want one now. Alexander has to live up to his father who is the best London barrister In the business. Alexander was caught off guard when he saw the American woman. He offered to show her to the building she was suppose to go to. Shocked to learn it was same place he works at and even more shocked to learn she’d been hired as his new assistant. Alexander didn’t want or need an assistant. ESP one as beautiful as her. Alexander didn’t need any distractions. Not even one as beautiful as Violet King. 

Once her star this book I cannot put it down. Alexander might come off as mean, rude, and arrogant. But once you get inside his head you realize he’s sweet and caring and most important trying to live up to his father‘s memory. Violet is caring loving. But, she’s been hurt and she’s afraid to get hurt again and because of that  she doesn’t want to get hurt again and instead of staying to make sure of things, Violet has a tendency to run. Which drove me absolutely crazy. But in the end I absolutely loved the story

I legit love when I get one of Louise’s books. I know that I’m going to miss sleep that night. I am looking forward to her next book. I really hope Darcy gets her story told.

  Alexander My workout this morning had been punishing. The harder I worked, the harder I worked out. I was a big believer in that if I wasn’t physically fit, I couldn’t perform as well in my job. And I was willing to do whatever I had to do to be the best barrister I could be. As a result, I’d been up since five, worked out until six thirty, and then had a conference call with Dubai at seven. I hated days when I was late into the office, but this morning couldn’t be helped. My commute had been . . . unusual. After the way Hannah left her last job she was nervous about going into this new one. The minute Hannah looked into Charlie's eyes she knew he was a good guy, who loved his children and needed some help. Hannah grew attached to the children quickly. Charlie was another story. He was hot one minute and cold the next. But, she couldn't help the attraction she had to him.

Charlie loved his kids. But, he doesn't know how to take care of them. When his wife picked up one day without a word and went on with her life like they didn't exist he didn't know what to do next. He spent more and more hours in the office everyday. Until Hannah walked into their lives. Now he finds himself wanting to spend more time at home with her and his children. But, since his wife left he has  a hard time trusting people. They both have secrets and if Charlie doesn't learn to trust he could loose her. 

I absolutely loved this story.  Hannah was trying to start over from scratch in America. Then she came across a bad man and she ran. Working for Charlie and taking care of the kids was pretty much her second chance. Falling in love with Charlie was a plus. The minute he was told that he was going to be a father he enters his own prison. His children were the best part for him. When he met Hannah he fell in love like he never has before and for the first time he was loved back. 

Once I picked this book up it ended up like every other Staci Hart book that I've read. It was me laying wrapped in my blanket reading until I'm done. Staci Hart continues to prove over and over again that she's a must read author! Every book lover needs to know who she is and get on the Staci Hart bandwagon like I am

CHARLIE The next morning, I was up and in my office before anyone was awake, attacking my work with newfound enthusiasm and a plan in mind. Because I wanted to feel like I’d felt the night before in the kitchen again, and there was only one way to get that back. Today, I would take a few breaks and be present. I checked the clock around eleven that morning and closed my laptop, pushing away from my desk and heading up the stairs in search of my children. When I rounded the corner into the kitchen, I found them sitting at the table with their lunches. And when they saw me, their smiles validated my grand plans with unwavering certainty. “Hey, guys,” I said, smiling back as I walked over to them, ruffling Sammy’s hair when I passed him. “Hi, Daddy,” he said. Maven’s mouth was full, so she just waved, and Hannah smiled at me from the island where she was setting up a spread for sandwiches. I snagged a grape off Maven’s plate and popped it into my mouth. A vase on the windowsill behind the table held a spray of red and orange tulips. “Those are beautiful,” I said, gesturing to them. “Where did they come from?” “Oh, I picked them up this morning,” Hannah said with that ever-present smile. “Feeling homesick?” “Always a little. But I love having fresh flowers in the house, something bright and delicate and alive. Well, maybe not alive anymore, but it feels alive, doesn’t it?” “It does,” I said as I moved to her side. “Can I make you a sandwich?” Hannah asked. “Nah, I think I can manage, thanks. How’s it going this morning?” “It’s good. We went to the park this morning.” “I rode my bike!” Sammy crowed. “Did you? No bumps or scrapes?” “Nope!” “I’m impressed. Maybe next time I can come too,” I said, hoping it was something I could deliver as I reached into the bread bag for a stack. Hannah turned to the cupboard, returning with a plate for me. “Thank you.” She was still smiling, standing at my side, assembling her sandwich. It was so mundane, something completely and utterly boring, but like the weirdo that I was, I found myself watching her hands as she folded cold cuts. We worked around each other—not that it was complicated, but there was a sort of rhythm between us, a natural pace wherein I used what she wasn’t and finished just as she needed what I had. I wasn’t sure why I noticed it, but I did, and I appreciated the simple synchronicity of the moment, a breath where things were easy. I passed her the mustard as she handed me the ham. “So, I was thinking …” I paused. “Oh, were you?” She glanced over at me with a hint of mirth at the corners of her lips. “I know. I almost sprained something.” Hannah laughed gently. “If it’s okay, I think I’d like to try to handle bedtime tonight.” “Of course it’s okay; they’re your children.” That time, her laughter was sweet. “Do you … would you … do you think you could maybe …” She shifted to face me, her eyes full of encouragement. “Would you mind … helping me?” Hannah nodded, her smile opening up. “That’s what I’m here for. Just let me know what you’d like me to do.” I smiled back. “I’m sorry. I know it sounds stupid. I just … I haven’t done this much on my own, but I’d like to start.” Her eyes softened, caught by slanting light, lighting up with sunshine. “There’s nothing to be afraid of,” she said simply. I didn’t speak. “There’s no right or wrong, and they don’t care about anything other than you being there. It’s simple enough; you only have to try.” “Is it really that easy?” “It really is. You’ll see.” She reached for my arm and gave it a squeeze that wasn’t meant to be anything but friendly but held something more, something in the pressure in her fingertips and the depths of her eyes. It was something I did my very best to ignore. But I felt the heat of those fingertips long after they were gone, even as we sat across the table from each other eating lunch, the tulips in the vase behind her bowing their long heads as the sunlight illuminated them, exposing what was hidden within their petals.

Mayra Statham continues to prove over and over again why I don't need to read the synopsis before I one click her books. I've loved every book of hers and this one was no different.

When I read Lie I fell in love with Marcus and his brothers Garrett and Brian and their best friend Donnie. They're all close and so very different. 

Brian is a police detective. Ever since he  got divorced he's lived with his 2 brothers and best friend. But, when his brother Marcus fell in love with Grace and her daughter Brian started thinking and seeing things differently. 

When an old friend of Brian's has to go outta town he's looking for someone to rent out his third room. He assured Brian his roommate Duncan is on point. He trusts Duncan with his life. But, Brian was unprepared. Duncan wasn't what he thought he was going to be. When he met his roommate he wasn't expecting Duncan to be a beautiful blonde. After their first interaction Brian realizes she's unlike any woman he's met before. But, before anything can happen he feels like he has to explain things to her. Things he hasn't told anyone not even his brothers. But, his past comes back and could ruin everything.

Valerie is an ER nurse and works long hours. Sometimes doubles after double shift. She's had a hard life and been screwed over so many times. There aren't many people she trusts other then her best friend Vaughn.  So when a new roommate who just happens to be a police detective moves in Valerie's walls go up. The problem is they don't go up around her heart. Detective handsome as she likes to call him makes it hard to be around him. He has such a smooth way of getting under skin and getting her to do things. Valerie is trying her hardest not to fall for Brian. Even with everything in their way that's making it difficult she's finding it hard to stay away.

From page one to the last sentence I was hooked. Brian is just  handsome and makes it hard not to just give into whatever he wants. Once Brian finally stops fighting his feelings he's unstoppable. Valerie I really liked. Her fast, no nonsense mouth reminded me of myself and I found myself laughing at her comebacks. I was glad when she finally learned to trust Brian. I was also glad she wasn't a pushover and stuck to her guns when it came to some important things.

I was SO glad to see the Wright mens grandma. She legit has no filter and says whatever is on her mind. And, I love it! I was glad to see his brothers and Donnie. ESP Garrett. Incase you forgot he's my man lol. But, he was completely diff then he was in Lie and I can't wait to read his story. These Wright men are addictive and I want more from them.

Mayra hopefully better be writing. BC, I need more from her. She has such a way of writing that you become attached to the characters and the story from the beginning and get upset when you finish the book.

This is not my first book by Staci. And, its not my last either. Granted out of all her books I've read I hate to admit this was my least favorite from her. 

Joel Anderson and his brother Shep own their tattoo shop Tonic. They're the #1 shop in the area. The 2nd shop belonging to Joel's ex-wife and arch nemesis. When Shep came to Joel about doing a reality show about the shop, he was 110% against it. The only one on his side was Patrick AKA Tricky from Staci's previous book Last Call. But, Joel gave into his brother and was getting ready to have his very personal life plastered all over the TV. He was hating every minute of it. Until the executive producer walked into his shop. Annika Belousov. She's gorgeous and as cold as ice. Joel wants her. He hasn't wanted a woman like this in years. Joel plans on making Annika his and he doesn't plan on stopping until he does.

Annika has worked hard to get to where she is. And, she'll do whatever she to to make good TV. No thats a lie. Anything for excellent entertaining TV. No matter the cost. That was until the big, tattoo covered, pain in the ass hairy Joel walked into her life. He's turned everything upside down. She wants him so bad its unreal. Even if it's wrong and could cost Annika her job.Annika lies to not only herself but to Joel and it might cost them both in the end. 

I love Joel. There's nothing about him I didn't like. He's the perfect boss, brother, friend an all around great guy. Joel wore his heart on his sleeve and wasn't ashamed of it.

Annika though was by far my least favorite leading lady I've read all year. She was just to emotionless for me. I couldn't stand how she put her job before what was right. 

Other than that this book was good. It did take me awhile to get into and for most of the book I would skim most the pages BC it dragged on for me.

Author Bio

Staci has been a lot of things up to this point in her life: a graphic designer, an entrepreneur, a seamstress, a clothing and handbag designer, a waitress. Can't forget that. She's also been a mom, with three little girls who are sure to grow up to break a number of hearts. She's been a wife, even though she's certainly not the cleanest, or the best cook. She's also super, duper fun at a party, especially if she's been drinking whiskey. Her favorite word starts with f and ends with k.

From roots in Houston, to a seven year stint in Southern California, Staci and her family ended up settling somewhere in between and equally north, in Denver. They are new enough that snow is still magical. When she's not writing, she's sleeping, cleaning, or designing graphics.
