✯✯5 Tricked Out Stars!!!✯✯

Holy smokes!!! HJ Bellus is proving why she belongs on my instant TBR list even if she hadn’t uploaded the synopsis yet. I loved Cruz and Jag. But, Trick yeah he might’ve just gotten bumped to the top!

Trenton “Trick” Jameson grew up on his families ranch. If it was up to his father he’d take over the ranch one day. But, his mom knows ranching isn’t what he sees for his future. She helps pack his things and pushes him out the door and tells her son to follow his dreams on MMA and be happy. That’s how he found Diablo’s Throne.

Trick has won championships and he’s not close to stopping. But, he knows his body won’t last forever in the cage. He decides to go to college. Not online classes bc he knows he won’t follow thru. Trick hoped he could go to class and stay under the radar and it’ll be smooth sailing. Unfortunately for Trick when the beautiful girl tripped and landed in his lap things weren’t going to go easily. ESP when some punk makes fun of her. Trick goes into protective mode and plans on not letting anybody hurt her again.

Mackenzie “Mack” Graham never had it easy. Her home life was a mess and everybody in school treated her like the trash she was. Poor girl was so emotionally abused and worse at school. If it weren’t for her neighbors who became surrogate parents to her she’d never know what family and love felt like. Mack likes not being noticed.

The day Trick noticed her was the day her entire life changed. He made her want to get noticed. Mack had a bad habit of tripping over her own two feet.  She’s the shy type an introvert and never minded it. But, the more time she spends around Trick the more she wants to be seen.

Mack goes from this shy skittish thing in the first chapter to a completely different woman at the end. Trick wasn’t the only one to help her. Nope she had Layla and Sunni and let’s not forget their men Cruz, Jag and Boss. They were all there. The family of Diablo’s Throne adopted another into their tight knit family when they met Mack.

Trick also has a transformation in this story too. He said from the beginning he’s not a rancher and he’d never step foot back on his families ranch. But, when he gets a frantic call, then text from his mom he knows he must go back. Trick knows as long as he has Mack, Boss and the rest of his Diablo’s Throne family he can survive anything.

Ever since the beginning of this series they’ve always claimed and proved over multiple times they’re family. This was no different. They showed two people who never got love from the ones they’ve craved it the most. They gave them new families. This book was beautifully written. When I got to the epilogue I was crying. I’m hoping this series continues bc I’m not ready to say goodbye to this family yet.

HJ Bellus is a small-town girl who loves the art of storytelling. When not making readers laugh or cry, she's a part-time livestock wrangler that can be found in the middle of Idaho, shot gunning a beer while listening to some Miranda Lambert on her Beats and rocking out in her boots.
